We are a remote-first technology company and welcome applications from candidates across Europe, including the EEA, the UK, Switzerland, and other non-EEA European countries such as Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Montenegro, Turkey, and the Western Balkans. We also consider applicants from different locations who can work within Central European Time (CET).
As the Design Lead you will be working directly with the CEO and CPO, Project managers and Business analysts, UI/UX and motion designers and business stakeholders. You will be monitoring all projects timings, schedules, briefs and following up creative tasks that are set, with creative and QC approvals that adhere to the brand guidelines and the creative strategy. You will also be responsible for ideation and creative development across specific assigned tasks. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, have extensive UX & UI experience, and overall experience of working within internal creative processes from creative briefs to execution with design and QA precision.
As a UX and Design Lead, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, all of which revolve around creating exceptional user experiences and guiding the design process.
Team & People Management
- Managing teams of 10+ designers across different seniority levels and product areas.
- Leading and scaling design teams across multiple product lines or squads.
- Creating and managing career growth plans, providing regular feedback and conducting performance reviews.
- Participating in hiring processes: defining roles, conducting interviews, onboarding new designers.
- Handling offboarding and performance-related transitions, including decision-making around team structure.
- Managing team capacity planning: balancing workloads, forecasting future hiring needs.
- Fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and feedback-driven design culture.
Process Leadership & Design Operations
- Defining, documenting, and continuously improving design processes and operational workflows.
- Setting up and managing design pipelines in collaboration with product and engineering.
- Establishing and maintaining design documentation standards, specs, and component guidelines.
- Building design rituals: critiques, check-ins, retrospectives, and reviews.
- Ensuring design consistency and quality across the product through scalable systems and review mechanisms.
Stakeholder & Client Communication
- Acting as the primary design representative in meetings with clients, partners, and external stakeholders.
- Leading design presentations and demos for both internal and external audiences.
- Translating complex business or client needs into actionable design strategy.
- Building strong relationships with sales, support, marketing, and customer success to align product experience with customer needs.
Design Skills
- Strong UI design skills: creating modern, user-friendly, and visually refined interfaces.
- Proficient in UX-writing: crafting microcopy, defining tone of voice, improving content clarity.
- Advanced use of Figma, including interactive components and smart animate prototyping.
- Building and maintaining scalable and consistent design systems.
- Skilled in rapid prototyping — developing MVPs under tight time constraints.
UX Research & Testing
- Conducting moderated and unmoderated usability testing.
- Running customer development interviews (custdev), need discovery, and user validation.
- Planning and executing quantitative and qualitative UX research.
- Experience with A/B testing (split and multivariate) and validating design hypotheses.
- Presenting findings and solutions based on user behavior and research insights.
Metrics & Business Alignment
- Proficiency in analytics tools: Amplitude, Mixpanel, Google Analytics, Firebase, Hotjar, Smartlook
- Working with UX metrics: CSAT, CES, NPS, Time on Task, Error Rate, System Usability Scale (SUS).
- Applying product metrics: Retention Rate, Conversion Rate, DAU/MAU, Churn Rate, Funnel Drop-off, LTV.
- Experience in defining and tracking KPI and OKRs in alignment with product strategy.
You have
- 7+ years of experience in product design, with full-cycle involvement in digital product development.
- Mandatory experience in fintech (3+ years): banking, EMI, PSP platforms, crypto.
- Proven experience with mobile applications (iOS/Android).
- Mandatory experience in B2B/SaaS products: enterprise interfaces, back-office tools, or specialized solutions.
- Hands-on experience building a product from scratch - from idea to market launch.
- Experience leading or contributing to a complete product redesign with measurable impact.
- Experience in mentoring junior designers, conducting design reviews, and growing design culture.
- Proven track record in cross-functional teams: working closely with PMs, engineers, QA, and business analysts.
- Facilitation of design sprints and workshops, including stakeholder alignment.
- Agile, Scrum, and Kanban development workflows.
- English level: B2-C1
