Funny name, serious business
We are a leading eco-friendly household essentials business and we donate 50% of our profits to help everyone gain access to clean water and a toilet. As of June 2024, we’ve contributed over $18 million AUD to this mission. Basically, we’re really good at making it easy to do good.
We operate scaling businesses in the UK, US, and Australia (Canada, soon). Our amazing team is based in Australia, the UK, the Philippines, China, and the US. Our 250+ people to make the biggest possible impact for people and the planet. Over the next 5-10 years, we’re hoping to increase our annual donation tenfold to get us closer to our dream of everyone in the world having access to clean water and sanitation services.
As a genuine remote-first company, we lean into being a high-functioning distributed team. We recognise some people achieve maximum productivity and work-life balance being fully remote. We have a strong culture of trust, and we love to deliver and delight!
Our engagement surveys (thanks Culture Amp!) tell us that our team is really proud (95%) to work for Who Gives A Crap and, well, we couldn’t be more proud of that.
A bit about the role
At Who Gives A Crap, we’re on a mission to make the world a better place—one roll of toilet paper at a time. As our Accounts Receivable (AR) Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our cash flow healthy, ensuring invoices are processed on time, collections are managed efficiently, and reconciliations are spot on. You’ll be the gatekeeper of our incoming cash and will support both internal teams and customers to ensure payments are collected promptly and professionally.
You’ll be using our ERP system, NetSuite, to track and manage all AR-related activities, working closely with our AR team and the broader Financial Operations team. You’ll also have the opportunity to bring new ideas to improve our AR processes and make a real impact.
If you worked here this past month here are some things you might have been involved in:
- Managing the invoicing and collections process, ensuring everything is recorded and reconciled accurately.
- Reviewing AR aging reports and working with the team to resolve any overdue payments or disputes.
- Communicating with customers and internal teams to ensure smooth payment processes.
- Helping improve AR processes by collaborating with the finance team and suggesting areas for automation or efficiency.
- Supporting monthly AR close processes, ensuring everything is aligned and accurate.
Let’s talk about you
You’re organised, detail-oriented, and thrive on keeping things running smoothly, even when juggling multiple tasks at once. You love staying on top of your workload and can independently manage your priorities without missing a beat. Whether it’s tracking invoices, resolving discrepancies, or ensuring timely collections, you have the ability to stay focused and deliver results.
You bring a solid understanding of AR processes, and you’re always seeking ways to improve workflows and streamline operations for better efficiency. You’ve got hands-on experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems, which means you know exactly how to use these tools to track AR transactions, generate accurate reports, and keep things moving along.
Your communication skills are exceptional—you’re able to explain complex information clearly and professionally, making it easy for both customers and internal teams to navigate payment processes. You’re always courteous, ensuring that customers feel heard and supported while also protecting the company’s financial interests.
Most importantly, you’re a true team player. You’re open to feedback and continuously look for opportunities to grow. You value collaboration and enjoy sharing your insights with colleagues to help improve processes and make the team stronger. You’re passionate about accuracy, efficiency, and finding ways to make an impact, and you’re excited to contribute to the success of the team and the broader business.

Have you made it this far?
