Funny name, serious business
We make eco-friendly products and donate 50% of our profits to provide clean water and help build toilets for the billions of people who lack proper access. So far, we’ve contributed over $18 million AUD (roughly $12.5 million USD) to fund sanitation projects around the globe. Basically, we’re really good at doing good.
With hubs in Australia, the Philippines, China, the US, UK and Europe, our amazing team of 200+ work to make the biggest possible impact for people and the planet. Over the next couple of years, we’re hoping to increase our annual donation tenfold to get us closer to our dream of everyone in the world having access to clean water and sanitation services.
A bit about the role
You're not just a recruiter; you're the strategic Talent Partner embedded into the business to find the brilliant, purpose-driven folks who make the magic (and the mission) happen!
This role offers you the opportunity to have a tangible impact on our growth and progress across the organisation - how amazing is that?
You’ll achieve this by truly understanding the unique needs of the functions you support, proactively translating their specifics into innovative role designs and targeted talent pools.
You’ll own the entire process, combining your love of recruitment and strategic business partnering to build trusted relationships with People Leaders to ensure a candidate journey as smooth as our bamboo toilet paper.
You’ll have a strong influence on our talent strategy, using data like a superpower while always keeping the wonderful humans front and centre throughout.
If you worked here this past month here are some things you might have been involved in
- Kicked off a new role, challenging the 'that's how we've always done it' mentality, and making sure we are hiring for the competencies we need for future success.
- Got really intentional about inclusion, designing a proactive sourcing strategy to reach brilliant, underrepresented talent pools. Because you know too well that great ideas come from everywhere.
- Gave a big, warm welcome to a new hiring manager, guiding them and their hiring team through a seamless, thoughtful, and human process that left everyone high-fiving.
- Wielded data like a true champion, spotting inefficiencies in our hiring flow and sharing insights that not only optimised our approach but opened the eyes of all involved.
- Got down and dirty in a cross-functional project, connecting with a mixed bag of cross functional stakeholders to ensure our people processes are seamless.
- Contributed to our long-term talent goals. This might mean mapping out internal capability or helping us think smarter about workforce planning.
- Refreshed how we show off our employer brand, making sure potential candidates feel that familiar WGAC spark and know exactly why working here is such a treat.
- Mastered the art of the strategic switch-up, balancing big-picture thinking with serious hands-on hustle.
Let’s talk about you
- Your stakeholders see you as a trusted partner; you build strong, respectful relationships with hiring managers to shape roles, spot great talent, and help teams grow in the right direction using confident, values-led decisions.
- You bring a strategic lens to talent acquisition, balancing speed with quality, and are happy to jam with hiring teams to translate their big-picture goals into actionable talent strategies.
- You're proactive, data-savvy, and curious and always looking for ways to improve how to hire.
- You also enjoy working within the a talent team, coaching others and learning from them too.
- You care deeply about creating a fair, inclusive hiring experience for candidates, which is why you love a clean process, but always keep people first.
- You're ideally bringing some in-house recruitment experience and have worked in a global or constantly evolving business and know how to stay people-focused through change.
You give a crap
Do you want your work to make the world a better place? Do you want to work with other people who feel the same way? What a coincidence — us too!
Why should you work with us?
First off, as a certified B Corp™, we work to make a difference every day while maintaining the highest standards of social and environmental impact. With our most recent score of 125.5 we’re in very good company with other exceptional B Corps around the world.
We also believe that helping to make the world a better place should be rewarded accordingly – that’s why we offer competitive, market informed salaries, meaningful support towards healthcare for our team around the world, generous paid leave, tailored learning and development opportunities, and free toilet paper (yes, you read that right).
Our engagement surveys (thanks Culture Amp!) tell us that our team is really proud (95%) to work for Who Gives A Crap and, well, we couldn’t be more proud of that.
Have you made it this far?
If you’re still reading, we think there’s a strong chance you might be our kind of person. Here’s the thing, though — research suggests that 60% of women and underrepresented folks might have already talked themselves out of applying. Even if you don’t check every box above, we want to encourage you to introduce yourself. We believe a diversity of perspectives and experiences makes a team stronger — and the stronger our team, the closer we are to delivering toilets and clean water for all.
Note: Applications will close EOD Tuesday 25th November AEDT.
