Job Description:

WideOrbit is looking for a talented Product Manager to join our WO Automation for Radio team. WO Automation for Radio is an enterprise platform that enables Radio Stations to effectively ingest, manage, and broadcast their content. As a Product Manager, you will help guide the direction of our product and have a major influence on future direction and maintaining our high customer satisfaction ratings. In this role, you will be a part of our product development process – from conceptual design to launching features. You’ll partner closely with the team to prioritize and define requirements, shepherd software changes, and socialize changes internally and externally. You will consult with customers to understand market needs and to identify areas for growth and improvement. You will work closely with our development partners to help drive new enhancements from conception to completion. A successful PM possesses exceptional communication skills, a tenacious drive for results, is highly organized and builds effective professional relationships quickly. Here is what success will look like: 

  • Own and drive the roadmap of WideOrbit Automation for Radio by managing scope, priorities, and timelines, tracking results against goals and making any necessary pivots while rolling out multiple features and special requests.
  • Ideating monetizable new functionality.
  • Be the product champion and build effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Constantly meet with customers to analyze the trajectory of the Radio industry and understand current software needs and then define and prioritize features to meet those needs.
  • Work with our engineering team to turn ideas into a user-friendly and efficient product.
  • Collaborate with development and operational resources on the lifecycle of new features.
  • Guide multiple projects and tasks concurrently, while effectively managing change of scope or timelines.
  • Drive relevant meetings, customer conversations, project goals and timelines while representing WideOrbit in a positive and professional manner.
  • Provide input and strategic thoughtful ideas contributing to the overall success of the product.
  • Be a product evangelist to disseminate information to executive management, salespeople, and prospective and existing customers.
  • Support the sales function in a meaningful and relevant way to prospects as needed and directed to do so. Answering our salespeople’s technical questions and providing education regarding WO Automation for Radio is a key responsibility.
  • Maintain customer-facing product documentation.
  • Talk about technical, cloud migration.

 

 To thrive in this role, we’re looking for: 

  • 4+ years of business experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or related field.
  • Deep understanding of Radio Station operations, including Engineering, Programming, and Traffic. Understanding of Music Scheduling, Traffic, AOIP solutions, and content delivery platforms is very helpful.
  • A proven ability to effectively managing conflicting priorites while balancing the needs of WideOrbit and its customers.
  • Current hands-on experience with Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android is very helpful.
  • Ability to successfully collaborate with other teams, organize, coordinate, and lead technical projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Must have the ability to discuss complex technical matters in detail with other technical stakeholders and properly summarize the same matter for executives.
  • Technical writing skills and prior experience with MadCap Flare are plusses.
  • Aptitude for technology and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive and tenacious drive for results with a sense of urgency.
  • Positive entrepreneurial can-do attitude.
  • Some travel required to attend meetings and conferences. 

 

Location:

This position can be based in any of our offices. Remote/Telecommute will also be considered. 

Pay Range: 

$105,000 - $140,000

Compensation:

The compensation range listed, and general description of other compensation and benefits will apply to this position.  Various factors are considered to determine compensation ranges including market data, location, experience, qualifications, and skills. WideOrbit reserves the right to pay more or less than the salary and benefit information posted.
