Wiehler Mechanical Ltd. in Calgary, AB specializes in high-end plumbing and HVAC services, and we're looking for a hard-working individual to join us as a full-time Custom Homes HVAC Field Supervisor. We’re offering the opportunity to lead projects in new construction custom homes ranging from 3,000–16,000 square feet. You’ll work on clean, well-organized sites alongside a team that values craftsmanship, collaboration, and performance. In this role, you’ll supervise the installation of advanced HVAC systems tailored for premium homes, while being recognized for your leadership and technical skill.

Our Custom Homes HVAC Field Supervisor earns a competitive annual salary of $85,000 to $95,000 depending on skill level and experience.
STABLE, FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE
You'll typically work Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

OUR IDEAL CUSTOM HOMES HVAC FIELD SUPERVISOR:
We’re looking for someone who meets the following qualifications:
- Journeyperson Sheet Metal certification
- 3+ years in a leadership/supervisory role
- Experience in creating and designing efficient, code-compliant HVAC systems tailored to the unique needs of each home and review HVAC layouts
- Experience coordinating heat gain/loss load calculations in residential new builds
- Solid knowledge of Alberta HVAC and mechanical codes
- Class 5 driver's license with a clean record
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to quality, safety, and mentorship
And who can manage these responsibilities:
- Oversee the development, fabrication and testing of HVAC systems installed in new homes.
- Monitor progress, delivery milestones, schedule, and cost control, and communicate these areas to Custom Homes Manager.
- Assume project management responsibilities over work execution, providing functional leadership and technical support.
- Perform all reasonable actions to ensure the project is successful, on time, and on or under budget, while meeting customer quality and delivery expectations.
- Review Custom Housing HVAC team’s work to ensure quality meets established standards, techniques, and safety requirements; Provide day-to-day lead work direction, make recommendations to improve quality and productivity
- Assist with project quotes, scopes, budgets, and schedules.
- Attend project handoff meetings with Custom Homes Manager to understand job scope.
- Communicate change orders for time and material and communicate any changes with the administrative staff and Custom Homes Manager
- Maintain communication with clients on project progress, issues, and risks at all levels of the organization.
- Determine and support schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of materials, and skill of staff.
- Plan, organize, direct and coordinate manpower, equipment, tools, and supply needs to achieve project objectives.
- Communicate site issues and impediments with client and engineers to ensure our final product achieves the level of comfort promised to the end user.
- Monitor and manage jobsite material returns.
- Ensure our Installers and Apprentices are competent, in collaboration with the Custom Homes Manager.
- Ensure conformance with Wiehler standards and provide information, guidance, and training on work procedures.
- Ensure homes are completed on time and on budget achieving final deadlines.
