Residential HVAC Supervisor

Wiehler Mechanical Ltd. in Calgary, AB is seeking an experienced Production Housing HVAC Supervisor to lead residential new construction HVAC operations. This role is responsible for overseeing field crews, ensuring quality installations, conducting pre-job planning, managing materials and inventory, and maintaining strict safety standards across all job sites.

This position is ideal for a hands-on HVAC leader who thrives in a fast-paced residential production environment and is committed to quality, safety, and team development.

WHAT WE OFFER:

GREAT PAY

Our Residential HVAC Supervisor earns a competitive annual salary of $80,000 to $90,000 depending on skill level and experience.

STABLE, FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE

You'll typically work Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

OUR IDEAL RESIDENTIAL HVAC SUPERVISOR:

We’re looking for someone who meets the following qualifications:

  • Journeyperson Sheet Metal certification
  • 4+ years of supervisory experience
  • Solid knowledge of Alberta HVAC and mechanical codes
  • Class 5 driver's license with a clean record
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and mentorship

And who can manage these responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate residential HVAC installation crews across multiple production housing projects.
  • Ensure all installations meet company quality standards, manufacturer specifications, and local building codes.
  • Conduct job pre-checks to verify site readiness, plans, equipment, and materials prior to installation.
  • Perform routine field inspections and quality control audits to maintain workmanship standards.
  • Manage HVAC material inventory, track usage, and coordinate timely deliveries to jobsites.
  • Monitor project schedules and productivity to ensure on-time completion.
  • Enforce safety policies and conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and meetings.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to support performance and skill development.
  • Collaborate with builders, project managers, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Identify and resolve installation, scheduling, or personnel issues proactively.
