Senior Electrical Engineer

We are growing our building engineering team and we currently seek a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in our Darien office location. This individual will work directly with architects, clients and project managers for the electrical design of building projects. This person would take projects from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
- Design projects from concept design through construction. Final punch lists and commissioning.
- Provide full engineering design for lighting, power, riser diagrams, electrical circuiting, voice/data, security, AV condonation and fire alarm systems design.
- Provide master specification writing/editing for each project.
- Review shop drawings, review RFI’s, change orders and assist during construction.
- This position if for a senior electrical engineer to stake projects from start to finish.
- Mentor, train and work with less experienced staff. (junior engineers and interns).
Requirements:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering required. PE a plus.
- Applicants shall have completed coursework in engineering and/or have practical design experience working on building systems.
- 7-15 years of Electrical engineering experience.
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA70, NFPA72 and Chicago Building Codes a plus.
- Proficiency in REVIT MEP preferred (training available).
