Accounting and Reporting Manager

São Paulo

About the Role

We're looking for a talented and passionate Accounting & Reporting manager to lead the Accounting team in our Controllership structure, responsible for the record-to-reporting cycle. This position owns the delivery of the monthly financial close up to the reporting of the consolidated financial statements on-time and with quality, contributing to the accuracy, reliability, and continuous improvement of Wildlife's financial reporting.
In our dynamic context, having strong and scalable accounting and reporting processes is critical. In this role, you will lead the team through technological innovation to incorporate automation and AI into the accounting & reporting process to reduce lead times, while increasing output quality and expanding the team’s capacity.
You will work closely with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and other operations and business teams to ensure proper accounting treatment of complex transactions, playing an alignment role and giving visibility in advance of consequential items to financial reporting stakeholders to avoid surprises. This role requires a strong sense of ownership, sound judgment to navigate trade-offs between accuracy, timelines, and business needs, and the ability to bring different stakeholders to alignment when priorities compete.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise the monthly financial close for an international, multi-currency corporate structure, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and quality. Anticipate blockers, raise risks early, and ensure stakeholders remain aligned through the process;
  • Organize the preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring high quality on the Balance Sheet side of the financials. Distribute status reports for CFO review;
  • Lead the teams involved in the Monthly Reporting Cycle to transform the current process with automation and AI, to achieve specific targets by the end of 2027 in terms of reporting lead time reduction, quality, and team capacity expansion;
  • Review and ensure the quality accounting policies, technical memos, and procedures (US GAAP/ IFRS), ensuring decisions are documented in a way that others (including non-technical partners) can act on;
  • Partner with Tax, FP&A, Treasury, and other Operations and Business teams to ensure proper accounting treatment of complex transactions. Listen to different perspectives, and help reach alignment through constructive discussions when priorities or interpretations diverge;
  • Monitor continuous improvement and operating excellence through the analysis of monthly process KPIs, and implementation of improvement actions.

What You Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Engineering;
  • Experience in managing the Accounting & Reporting function in a dynamic environment for complex corporate structures;
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, including solid understanding of consolidation concepts, including intercompany eliminations, FX/CTA, and multi-entity structures;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems and use data to support decisions;
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment under tight deadlines.
  • Fluent English, both written and oral.

Nice to Have

  • MBA or specialization in Accounting/Finance;
  • Experience with multi-entity/ international structures with different functional currencies;
  • Proven experience in implementing accounting process and reporting improvements through process automation or data tools.

More About You

  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability: you own outcomes, not just tasks, and follow up on blockers until they are resolved;
  • Detail-oriented with ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality;
  • Clear and structured communication: you can present options and trade-offs to non-technical partners, document decisions so others can act on them, and adapt your message to different audiences;
  • Sound judgment under competing priorities: you can navigate trade-offs between accuracy, timelines, and business needs, and know when to escalate;
  • Collaborative and calm under pressure: you stay constructive when scope changes, help teammates when they fall behind, and bring stability rather than intensifying issues;
  • Candid and transparent: when errors occur, you are forthcoming and help address issues quickly rather than trying to save face;
  • Continuous improvement mindset: you actively look for ways to reduce closing timelines, strengthen controls, and adopt better tools and practices from the market;
  • Curious by nature: you continuously experiment with emerging AI tools to work faster and deliver better outcomes;
