Location and Flexibility

This is a hybrid role, which we’ve termed Work from Near (WFN). This model requires the ability to work on-site from our São Paulo - SP or Porto - RS office throughout the week based on team needs, while still providing the flexibility to work remotely on other days. Our WFN culture is designed to foster in-person innovation, collaboration, and connection with team members local and visiting from other global offices.

The Opportunity

In this highly influential role, you will act as a subject matter expert in a specific technology, leading the team and our clients in designing applications, tools, and development processes. You will masterfully navigate client tech stacks, integrating and enhancing them over a series of projects. Your expertise in implementing engineering practices and managing large-scale refactors will bring immense value to our software ecosystem.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and optimization of applications, tools, and development processes.
  • Drive the execution of large-scale refactors across the software ecosystem, managing dependencies, and minimizing risk.
  • Advocate for and implement world-class engineering practices.
  • Choose and execute deployment strategies that minimize risk and maximize client ROI.

Qualifications:

  • 13+ years of web development experience
  • Proficiency in Javascript, HTML, CSS, and at least one front-end framework (Vue, React, Angular, Next, Web Components).
  • Understanding of backend code, databases, security, and APIs, along with experience implementing web security standards.
  • Recognized expert in a specific technology or project type with experience coaching team members throughout the build cycle.
  • Extensive experience planning and driving execution of large-scale refactors across a software ecosystem.
  • Proven ability to handle high-conflict, high-stress projects and craft effective resolution plans.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to different roles and situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and skills rapidly for organizational needs and personal professional growth.

Bonus Points:

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, etc., and experience setting up deployment pipelines.
  • A strong advocate for accessibility best practices and modern web trends.
  • Experience promoting a culture of ownership, accountability, and psychological safety within the organization.
