Location & Flexibility

Our Multi-Cloud Migration Delivery Director will operate remotely OR be based out of one of our major North American office locations.

The Opportunity

The Multi-Cloud Migration Delivery Director is responsible for overseeing and executing complex cloud migration projects across multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.). This role combines technical expertise with project management skills to ensure the successful migration of enterprise workloads, applications, and data from on-premises or single-cloud environments to multi-cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Leadership

  • Develop and execute comprehensive multi-cloud migration strategies and roadmaps
  • Lead cross-functional teams, including cloud architects, engineers, and business stakeholders
  • Define migration priorities, timelines, and success criteria
  • Establish governance frameworks for multi-cloud environments

Technical Delivery

  • Oversee the assessment, planning, and execution of application and infrastructure migrations
  • Ensure proper cloud-native architecture design and implementation
  • Manage workload placement decisions across different cloud providers
  • Implement cloud security, compliance, and cost optimization strategies

Project Management

  • Coordinate multiple concurrent migration projects and workstreams
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
  • Identify and mitigate risks throughout the migration lifecycle
  • Provide regular status updates to executive leadership and stakeholders

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with business units to understand requirements and constraints
  • Work with vendor partners and cloud service providers
  • Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders
  • Manage change management and user adoption initiatives

Competencies

Technical Skills

  • Cloud Platforms: Expert-level knowledge of AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
  • Migration Tools: Experience with cloud migration tools (AWS Migration Hub, Azure Migrate, Google Cloud Migrate, etc.)
  • Infrastructure: Strong understanding of networking, security, databases, and enterprise applications
  • Automation: Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates)
  • Containers: Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration
  • DevOps: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Experience Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in cloud computing and infrastructure
  • 5+ years in project/program management roles
  • 3+ years specifically in cloud migration projects
  • Experience managing teams of 10+ technical professionals
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale enterprise migrations

  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Change management and stakeholder engagement expertise

Annual Performance Bonus

This position is eligible for an annual performance bonus based on personal, division/business unit, and company performance. The range displayed is only the annual base salary. To maintain equity across the business, annual performance bonus targets are determined by job level, not individual circumstances.

Individual base salaries are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons determined during the interview process. Salary bands are periodically reviewed and updated based on market changes, internal needs, and industry trends. To maintain pay equity for team members, TELUS Digital conducts regular compensation audits.

Annual Base Salary Range (Performance Bonus Eligible)

$95,790 - $119,738 USD
