This position offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with the modified cash basis
- Perform detailed variance analysis and provide insightful explanations for financial fluctuations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial reporting procedures.
- Manage and oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Perform complex account reconciliations and maintain accurate general ledger records.
- Maintain account reconciliation files in a clean, uniform and informative manner.
- Work with other departments to investigate reconciling items and record corrections.
- Prepare and post journal entries, including allocations, fixed asset depreciation, etc.
- Assist with external audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting regulations and internal control policies.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal control procedures.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Mentor junior accounting staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in accounting required
- At least 5 years accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting procedures.
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Aderant Expert Sierra a plus
- Experience with law or other professional service firms preferred.
- Excellent Analytical, problem solving and communication skills
- Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial personnel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
Salary Range:
$95,000 - $110,000 USD
