Job Summary:

As the Training and Development Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role in designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive training programs that support the development of our team members. You will ensure that our training initiatives align with our mission and values, equipping our team with the skills and knowledge to provide exceptional care and services.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration and Support:
    • Partners with department heads, clinical supervisors, and HR to identify training needs and align programs with organizational goals.
    • Provide coaching and support to QMHPs and leadership development participants to enhance their professional growth.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization.
  • Program Development:
    • Design, develop, and manage training programs tailored to the needs of mental health providers and other staff.
    • Create and implement leadership development courses to enhance the capabilities of current and future leaders.
    • Create and maintain training materials, curriculum, and resources aligned with industry standards.
    • Research and stay updated on best practices and developments within the mental health field to inform training programs.
  • Technology Integration:
    • Implement and manage e-learning platforms and other training technologies to enhance the learning experience.
  • Program Implementation and Delivery:
    • Lead all New Hire Orientations.
    • Coordinate and conduct training sessions across the organization’s regions.
    • Organize and facilitate "train the trainer" sessions to ensure consistent delivery of training.
    • Schedule and implement onboarding programs for new hires and continuing education for existing staff.
  • Effectiveness Evaluation:
    • Measure the success of programs through assessments, quizzes, and feedback from participants.
    • Seek input from employees, management, and other departments to continuously improve programs.
    • Track information retention and application to ensure training outcomes meet organizational goals.
  • Budget Management:
    • Prepare and manage the training budget to ensure cost-effective training solutions.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and outcomes.
    • Prepare regular reports on training program effectiveness and participant progress.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Preferred certifications such as Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) or similar.
  • Experience in developing and managing e-learning programs.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in training and development, preferably in a healthcare or mental health setting.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in an understandable way.
  • Knowledge of various teaching methods and best practices for instructional design.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, learning management systems (LMS), and other training tools.
  • Advanced organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments.
  • A deep understanding of business goals and standards for customer service.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs and leadership development courses.
  • Willingness to travel within Texas for training sessions and meetings.
