Location: New York, NY (Open to Austin, LA, or Chicago)
Job Type: Full-Time

About WithCoverage:
WithCoverage is reimagining risk management and insurance for the modern economy. We protect the companies building the future—brands like GoPuff, Eight Sleep, Harry’s, Bombas, AG1, and Blank Street Coffee—so they can move fast without compromise.
Instead of a stale brokerage model, we’ve built a new category: world-class risk advisors powered by proprietary technology. From next-generation defense contractors and advanced manufacturers to iconic consumer brands and hospitality leaders, we partner with ambitious businesses to give them the confidence to scale.
Founded by JD Ross (co-founder of Opendoor) and Max Brenner (Compound, Bain), WithCoverage is disrupting a trillion-dollar industry from the inside out. We grew 10x last year while staying cash-flow positive, with backing from 8VC, Crystal Venture Partners, and other top investors.
We’re also the only brokerage that has built its own Agency Management System from scratch, giving us full control of our operations and a platform to automate more and more of the business with AI. It’s the foundation for transforming how risk is managed across the economy.
Why Join Us:
- Grow Faster – We’re scaling fast, giving you outsized opportunities to learn, lead, and shape your career and the future of the company.
- Work That Matters – We protect the world’s most innovative brands: consumer icons, hospitality leaders, next-gen defense contractors, and US manufacturers.
- Redefine an Industry – Insurance is one of the largest, slowest-moving markets. We rewrite the playbook with proprietary technology, automation, and AI.
- Financial Rewards – We hire the best and invest in you. That means competitive comp, meaningful equity, and great benefits. We believe strongly in internal promotion, and lay out a plan for everyone's career growth.
About The Role:
Over the past 12 months, we’ve scaled revenue 4X primarily from word-of-mouth, events, and community referrals. One of the primary growth unlocks has been building a strong community with our clients across each vertical (CPG, hospitality, tech, etc.), and we’re looking to bring on an ambitious person who can 10X our events/community building initiatives as we reach the next level of scale.
As our Community & Events Lead, you’ll be the connector between our team, our clients, and the broader ecosystem. You’ll own the planning and execution of high-impact events with the C-Suite of leading mid-market businesses, community initiatives, and brand moments that bring our mission and values to life. You’ll also help foster internal connection and culture across our offices, from team offsites to client dinners, ensuring we show up with thoughtfulness, creativity, and consistency in every interaction.
Your primary metric will be focused on building meaningful pipeline from events and community referrals, working with each Vertical Lead to scale up from 2-3 events per week today to 10+ every week across the country in the next few months.
What You’ll Do:
- Plan and execute in-person and virtual events that build awareness and engagement with key audiences, including C-level clients and key growth partners.
- Develop scalable community programs that strengthen relationships and position our brand as a thought leader in the commercial insurance and risk space.
- Partner with GTM, Growth, and People teams to align event and community efforts with company goals and storytelling.
- Manage event logistics, budgets, vendor relationships, and post-event metrics to measure ROI and impact.
- Support office operations, internal culture initiatives, and team experiences, including all-hands meetings, offsites, and employee engagement events.
- Identify creative opportunities for brand visibility through sponsorships, partnerships, and co-marketing initiatives.
- Serve as a key connector across departments to ensure consistent and meaningful brand representation.
Who You Are:
- Two to five years of experience in events, partnerships, or community management, ideally within a high-growth startup, financial services, or technology environment.
- A strong communicator and storyteller with a natural ability to bring people together.
- Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple initiatives at once.
- Energized by both external relationship-building and internal culture development.
- Hands-on and proactive, equally comfortable planning a 100-person industry event or curating a great in-office experience.
What We Offer:
- Competitive compensation that may include equity
- Flexible paid time off
- Comprehensive benefit plans for medical, dental, vision, life, and disability
- Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs): Health Care FSA and Dependent Care FSA
- Commuter Savings Account
- Human Interest: 401(k) provider
- Time Off: Sick Leave, Family and Medical Leave, Flexible Time Off
- Paid Holidays: Observance of all major national holidays
- Catered lunches in the office on Fridays for in-office workers and highly collaborative culture
