Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, recruiting, and compliance. This role involves collaborating with senior leadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals, managing HR functions across multiple locations, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
- Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
- Assists the Director of HR in carrying out full-scale Human Resources functions for 6 WLG-associated companies across 3 geographic offices, as well as other remote employees.
- Administers or oversees human resource programs including, but not limited to, disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Plan, monitor, and appraise HR activities by resolving employee grievances and training managers in how to coach and discipline.
- Help ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently.
- Maintain company organization charts and employee directory.
- Handle confidential matters with discretion.
- Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization human resource information system (HRIS) –currently PayCom.
- Monitors and ensures company compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Recommends best practices; modifies policies and practices to remain compliant.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and technologies in all employee related functions; applies this knowledge to recommend and communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
- Performs other duties as required.
Work Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years working in Human Resources required.
- 3+ years of recruiting required.
- Demonstrated, hands-on HRIS experience; Paycom preferred.
- 2-3 years of operations or Human Resources leadership
- Adept at problem solving and conflict resolution.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field required.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- SHRM Certification a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions.
- Employees must be able to transport up to 10lbs.

Chicago Pay Range
$115,000 - $120,000 USD
