The Innovation team is seeking a Senior Manager, Product Management for the Firm’s Innovation Department based out of our New York, NY; Whippany, NJ; East Brunswick, NJ; Red Bank, NJ; Princeton, NJ; Philadelphia, PA; Boston, MA; Burlington, MA; Providence, RI, Tysons Corner, DC; or Columbia, MD office location.

This role will be responsible for a group of custom-built Tax products and services, translating firm tax strategy, regulatory requirements, and client needs into measurable business outcomes. The Senior Manager will also collaborate with teams by participating in technical and strategic insight sessions to identify and address business/product issues and opportunities and ensure that technical procedures align with the business/product vision.

This role owns product vision, roadmaps, releases, and ROI across the tax products and serves as the people leader for Product Managers and Product Analysts. The Senior Manager operates with full authority over priorities, releases, and budget, and with a mandate to raise the quality and consistency of product management across teams.

How You’ll Spend Your Time: 

  • Craft and communicate an inspirational vision for a portfolio of Tax products and services, with clear articulation of how individual products come together to deliver a seamless experience for clients, firm professionals, and partners
  • Ensure the product portfolio operates as a cohesive experience, so clients and users do not encounter internal organizational boundaries, handoffs, or underlying process complexity
  • Partner with the Head of Innovation and the Product engineering team on prototyping and MVP development, providing subject matter expertise and ensuring solutions meet Tax practice requirements
  • Collaborate and drive change management and adoption of new products and oversee the allocation of product investments to ensure optimal resource distribution and ROI
  • Translate the portfolio vision into a 12–18-month strategic roadmap, clearly mapped to business outcomes, value creation, and regulatory priorities
  • Continuously assess the performance, cost, and value of products and features across the portfolio, identifying where cost exceeds value and defining clear recommendations and next steps
  • Proactively plan, communicate, and execute the decommissioning or sunsetting of underperforming products or features, including customer impact assessments, transition strategies, and viable alternatives
  • Model adaptability by continuously evolving the product portfolio in response to industry trends, regulatory change, emerging solutions, new insights, and shifting client and business needs
  • Ensure product teams consistently apply design thinking, systems thinking, and agile best practices throughout the full product lifecycle
  • Define and monitor portfolio‑level KPIs, using data and insights to coach teams to adjust, refine, or pivot products as performance dictates
  • Partner proactively with Technology leaders to define and evolve end‑state architecture that enables the product portfolio and ensures solutions are secure, resilient, performant, and scalable
  • Nurture, develop, and coach product managers and analysts by setting clear expectations, identifying growth opportunities, and driving measurable development and performance outcomes

The Kinds of People We Want to Talk to: 

  • Required Education Level: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in management information systems, Finance, MBA or a related field.
  • Required Years of Experience: 12 + years’ experience preferred with 8+ years of experience in product management or product development, with significant exposure to tax services in a professional services environment
  • 6+ years’ experience in product leadership positions with proven record of successfully launching products
  • Demonstrated product experience using different software development methodologies, like Agile and Scaled Agile with one or more certifications (e.g. CSPO, Scaled Agile, Product School)
  • Significant demonstrated experience in defining and implementing service delivery performance metrics and KPI dashboards
  • Exceptional executive presence with proven ability to communicate effectively with senior executive audiences
  • Strong collaboration capabilities with proven expertise in driving alignment across diverse business and technology stakeholders
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience collaborating with and leading, mentoring, and engaging cross-functional teams
  • Advanced communication and presentation skills to clearly and concisely communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and communications simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail; capable of multitasking and adapting to shifting needs and priorities.
  • Quick learner, adept at understanding new and complex procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills and project management experience.
  • Demonstrates the ability to explore new techniques beyond day-to-day duties.
  • Excellent time management abilities.

Preferred Skills: Experience applying design thinking, systems thinking, and lean/agile product practices at scale, Product Certifications. Strong tax domain fluency and Familiarity with accounting principles and the financial services industry understanding will be added advantage.

Personal Attributes: Highly motivated self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, dedication to delivering results, ability to overcome ambiguity and excellent communicator.

The compensation for this position ranges from $150,000-$180,000. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, as well as the individual’s skills, experience and qualifications.
