We are looking for a Senior Design Manager to join Wolt’s Courier and Delivery Mission

The Courier & Delivery team sits at the very core of our logistics platform—building products for the gig economy and powering the experience for thousands of couriers across 30+ countries.

This role is ideal for someone excited to build at scale, lead through ambiguity, and define how we create exceptional, human-centered tools for our courier partners—on mobile, desktop, and beyond.

📍This role is based in our tech hub in Berlin, Helsinki or Stockholm.

Your Impact

  • Lead the Team: You’ll lead a growing team of ICs and managers working across mobile and web. You’ll be responsible for both structure and momentum.
  • Set Design Direction: You’ll define quality benchmarks for courier-facing products and ensure they’re met across every surface and platform.
  • Own the Experience: Collaborate with Group Leads to shape courier journey end-to-end—from onboarding to active delivery.
  • Drive Strategic Execution: Operate beyond project management—drive vision, unblock teams, and push execution where needed.
  • Mentor and Elevate: Support and grow your team through feedback, coaching, and high standards. Push for pace, clarity, and ownership.
  • Contribute to the System: Work with the Director of Design and Brand team to define and expand the Courier Experience Playbook.

Who you are

  • 5+ years of design leadership experience in product-led orgs
  • A portfolio that shows not just high-quality design, but high-impact leadership
  • Experience building across platforms (mobile-first, desktop, admin tools, etc.)
  • A proactive, systems-oriented mindset that thrives in ambiguity
  • The ability to connect design decisions to business impact and user needs
  • A track record of hiring, mentoring, and leading designers to do the best work of their careers
  • Bonus: Experience in gig economy platforms, logistics, or gaming
