Head of Business Development
About Wolt
At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe.
Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life.
In Norway we are currently in 58 cities and we are just getting started on our growth journey. Food delivery was just the start. Now, we have expanded our platform beyond food delivery into categories such as grocery, cosmetics, flowers, toys, electronics, books and other exciting products, all referred to as retail.

As a Head of Business Development for Wolt Norway, you'll be the right hand to Elisabeth Stenersen, our General Manager, and play a critical role in shaping, launching and scaling our new verticals, including Wolt Drive, Wolt for Work, and more to come.
The role sits at the heart of strategy and operations in a fast-moving and complex market, so we're looking for someone who’s excited to roll up their sleeves, work closely with cross-functional teams (both global and local), and thrive in ambiguity. Day-to-day in this role you’ll

- Lead and inspire a high-performing team of 10 talented Wolt business development professionals.
- Act as a strategic partner to the General Manager, supporting strategy and planning, target setting, and budgeting for the upcoming 6–12 months.
- Own and monitor team KPIs, with a strong focus on both growth and profitability of your core business verticals.
- Drive growth initiatives and ensure successful implementation and scaling of new products and services in the Norwegian market.
- Lead cross-functional process improvements and profitability enhancement initiatives.
- Develop data-driven business cases for new initiatives and create analytical dashboards and trackers to assess their impact.
- Foster strong collaboration with local, regional, and central teams across various internal functions.
- Provide hands-on leadership, actively participating in key sales and negotiation processes within your verticals.
- Be an integral member of the country leadership team, contributing to both company culture and overall business strategy.
Our humble expectations
We’re looking for a leader who brings energy, clarity, and a track record of making an impact. Our ideal candidate would meet most of the following:

- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and deliver in fast-paced, dynamic environments, with a pragmatic approach focused on the most value adding activities.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to coach and motivate teams, and build a strong team spirit.
- Ability to lead, evaluate and deliver results across multiple business verticals, where a background in management consulting can be helpful
- Outstanding analytical skills, including the ability to translate data into actionable insights and build robust KPIs to track performance.
- Sharp commercial acumen, with a deep understanding of performance drivers and how to improve them.
- Have a self-starter mindset and willingness to contribute to hands-on activities in a flat organisation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Norwegian, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly across teams and levels
- Master’s degree in Business, Finance or a related field that provides a solid academic foundation for the role.
