Wolt is looking for a Workplace Safety Manager to join part-time  our team in Almaty. In this role  you will be responsible for building and ensuring a safe and compliant working environment for our employees, driving workplace safety initiatives and partnering with teams across the office and operations.

What you’ll be doing

Day-to-day in this role you’ll:

  • Identifying hazardous and harmful production factors in Wolt and Wolt Market workplaces and taking initiative to reduce associated risks.
  • Analyzing causes and conditions behind occupational incidents and illnesses  and recommending measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Assisting operational teams with workplace certifications, environmental measurements and safety compliance efforts.
  • Acting as a key informant for employees regarding working conditions, occupational disease development and protective measures.
  • Supporting the documentation and compensation process for workplace incidents and occupational health cases.
  • Conducting inspections of workplace infrastructure, machinery, and equipment in collaboration with operations and legal teams to ensure full compliance with safety regulations. 
  • Collaborating across departments to co-develop proactive safety improvement initiatives and driving their execution.
  • Reviewing project documentation and operational plans to ensure they align with occupational safety requirements.
  • Assisting in the creation and rollout of safety instructions and guidelines tailored to specific roles and working environments.
  • Delivering engaging and informative safety onboarding sessions to new team members.
  • Approving and maintaining safety documentation including training instructions, safety standards, and exception lists.
  • Providing tools and frameworks for structured safety briefings, knowledge assessments, and ongoing training. 
  • Ensuring departments are supplied with safety signage, instructional materials, and awareness boards.
  • Preparing and submitting occupational safety reports on time and in accordance with internal and legal requirements.
  • Monitoring compliance with safety legislation, effective use of protective equipment, ventilation systems and timely inspections of equipment.
  • Keeping the team up to date with newly introduced safety regulations and ensuring all documentation is stored and managed properly.
  • Responding to safety-related feedback or complaints and recommending actionable improvements to leadership

Our humble expectations* 

  • Higher education in a relevant field
  • Valid health & safety certificates
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in workplace safety management
  • Strong knowledge of fire safety, evacuation procedures and PPE requirements
  • Excellent documentation and reporting skills
  • Fluency in English (written & spoken), Russian and Kazakh
