As a Retail Key Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for strategically developing our Pharmacy portfolio, as well as potentially other retail verticals in the future. You are responsible for handling our pharmacy vertical and account partners, driving their growth and profitability. This role includes overall ownership of the business vertical and its development. You will implement new products, upsell, and handle tenders for existing partners throughout Finland. Additionally you will be a team lead to a Specialist working with daily management and vertical-related projects.
What you’ll be doing
Day-to-day in this role you’ll:
- Account and Vertical Growth Strategy: Develop and execute strategies to enhance Pharmacy vertical growth and profitability, through effective account management, product category management and venue expansions.
- Business Development: Execute campaigns that drive account growth and enhance pharma portfolio visibility. Strategically introduce new Wolt product opportunities to strengthen partnerships and increase partner revenue streams.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure optimal in-store processes and quality standards with your partners to ensure that we are delivering the best experience for Wolt customers.
- Market Insight & Data-Driven Analysis: Leverage market knowledge and data analytics to make informed decisions, enhance account performance, and develop forward-looking strategies.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with partners and other stakeholders through proactive communication and exceptional service.
- Commercial negotiations: Creating and renegotiating terms and conditions with our partners.
- Team Lead Responsibilities.
- Grow a deep understanding of the pharmacy vertical, competition, various regulations and the ecosystem connected to it. Be the voice of the Vertical internally to Product, Ops, Marketing etc.
Our humble expectations
- Previous experience in Key Account Management and/or Business Development, with a strong commercial mindset driving growth and profitability.
- Understanding of the FIN retail landscape, familiarity with the Pharmacy sector is a big advantage.
- Strategic commercial thinker who builds crisp, data-driven business cases and turns insights into decisions.
- Clear, structured communicator and trusted partner who can influence without authority.
- Relationship management skills at all organizational levels, ensuring alignment and driving collaboration across internal and external partners.
- Solid spreadsheet fluency and analytics skills with e.g. Looker or Power BI.
- Negotiator who drives adoption of solutions like Wolt Ads, Wolt Plus and Wolt Drive when they add value.
- Fluent in Finnish and English.
