As Merchant Monetization Manager in Germany, you will be part of the Revenue Operations team and play a key role in managing and optimizing how we monetize our merchant base, while ensuring long-term merchant health and sustainable growth. You will own and evolve key monetization levers in the German market, including commission structures, platform fees, and overall take rate management, and help scale our local monetization strategy as the business grows.
You will work closely with local Sales, Account Management, Finance, Product, and Global Monetization teams to translate strategy into execution. This role involves leading complex, cross-functional initiatives, driving alignment across a large stakeholder group, and turning analytical insights into clear recommendations and measurable impact.

What you’ll be doing
💼 Merchant Monetization & Strategy Execution
- Own and optimize merchant monetization in Germany, including commission structures, platform fees, and overall take rate.
- Execute and localize global monetization frameworks, adapting them to German market dynamics and merchant segments.
- Drive monetization initiatives end to end - from problem definition and business case to rollout and post-launch performance tracking.
- Balance revenue growth with merchant sustainability and long-term platform health.
📊 Performance Management & Insights
- Monitor and analyze monetization performance and merchant economics (e.g., Take Rate, Commission Revenue, and Merchant Churn) to identify opportunities and risks.
- Partner closely with Finance on forecasting, target setting, and performance tracking versus plan.
- Translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations for operational teams and leadership.
🧭 Project Management & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead complex, cross-functional monetization projects involving 100+ stakeholders across local and global teams.
- Drive alignment across Sales, Account Management, Product, Finance, and Global Monetization teams.
- Define clear ownership, timelines, dependencies, and success metrics to ensure high-quality execution.
🎤 Stakeholder Management & Executive Communication
- Present monetization strategies, performance updates, and recommendations to senior leadership
- Influence and align both mid-level stakeholders and senior decision-makers with clear, structured narratives.
- Support Commercial and Account Management teams with practical frameworks, playbooks, and guidance on monetization topics.
⚙️ Processes, Tools & Scalability
- Contribute to building and improving scalable processes, tools, and governance for commission management and fee changes.
- Ensure operational readiness and smooth execution of monetization updates.
- Continuously improve Revenue Operations ways of working through standardization and automation.
Our humble expectations*
- +5 years of experience in strategy & operations, revenue, monetization, pricing, or commercial roles in fast-paced environments.
- Proven project management experience, successfully leading complex, cross-functional initiatives with many stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills; advanced Excel / Google Sheets required (SQL a plus).
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence presenting to and influencing senior leadership.
- Ability to tailor messages and recommendations to different audiences, from operational teams to executives.
- Strong ownership mindset, bias for action, and comfort operating in ambiguity.
- Experience with marketplaces, B2B monetization, pricing, or platform economics is a strong plus.
- Fluent in English; German is a plus.
