We are looking for a motivated and experienced Merchant Account Development Manager to drive growth and revenue across our restaurant and merchant network. This is a highly execution-driven role, where you are accountable not only for defining growth strategies, but for driving them end-to-end to measurable outcomes in a fast-moving environment.
As a Merchant Account Development Manager, you will act as a strategic partner and growth driver for our merchants, developing tailored ads and promotions strategies that align with their business objectives. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, performance analysis, and a focus on driving product adoption, customer engagement, and long-term retention.
What you’ll be doing
Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive ads and promos strategy for our restaurant business, including owning prioritization, delivery timelines, stakeholder alignment and measurable commercial outcomes end-to-end.
Relationship Management:
- Build and manage relationships with key industry players, including global enterprise brands, franchises, and local key accounts to meet their evolving needs.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Motivate a high-performing local Account Management team to exceed ad revenue targets and customer acquisition and retention goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and operations, to ensure business objectives are met.
Performance Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze sales performance metrics and proactively translate insights into clear recommendations, decisions & actions, and provide regular updates to leadership
Account Management & Development:
- Lead strategic account planning, sales presentations, contract negotiations, and QBRs, while owning end-to-end outcomes across your portfolio - including prioritization, follow-through, revenue performance, and proactive management of risks and timelines
Our humble expectations*
- Fluency in German and English
- 3+ years of account management or sales experience in a high-growth, data-driven environment
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to connect data, insights, and merchant needs to revenue-driving actions
- Experience in retail media, advertising, or performance marketing is a strong plus
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and drive alignment across stakeholders
- Analytical mindset with the ability to extract meaningful insights and translate them into concrete decisions, actions, and commercial impact
- Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, execution, and tracking of initiatives
- Ability to independently prioritize work, manage competing demands, and drive initiatives to closure in a fast-paced environment, including proactively managing timelines and escalating risks when needed
- Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and basic sales reporting
- Bonus points: prior enterprise client work
