Our Operations teams create and build our relationships with merchants. Together, we’ve helped big brands, local stores, and neighborhood restaurants generate over €15 billion in business through our platform. We are now looking for an Onboarding Specialist for Wolt POS (our point-of-sale system) to help restaurant merchants get started with their devices and enhance their experience throughout their customer lifecycle. You'll work cross-functionally between our local sales, account management, operations, and product teams to build a delightful experience for our merchants.
This position is partially in-office and partially travel-based, as you will be regularly visiting merchant sites in the Helsinki region and beyond.
What you’ll be doing
As an Onboarding Specialist, you will support newly onboarded restaurant partners, and you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring merchants have the tools and guidance they need to thrive with Wolt.
Day-to-day in this role you’ll:
- Interface directly with merchant restaurants and aim to improve their experience
- Create and execute plans for merchant onboarding strategy, building a seamless onboarding experience that delights merchants
- Perform a significant amount of hands-on and in-store work, training merchant staff on effectively using a new system and tools
- Create merchant training materials to encourage staff understanding and adoption
- Learn the ins and outs of Wolt software configuration and oversee the implementation of digital ordering and SaaS tools
- Identify opportunities to improve upon existing merchant workflows to maximize revenue
- Be able to achieve immediate results and adapt in an evolving work environment
- Look for ways to improve and want to shape the direction of the team, and partnership development
Our humble expectations
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of work experience in restaurant/bar management, customer support, or hospitality
- Take a hands-on, proactive approach to getting stuff done and seeing things through
- Excellent external and internal customer support skills
- Experience working successfully cross-functionally with other departments
- Proactive by nature and with great attention to detail
- Written and spoken communication skills in English and Finnish
