You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life.

Job Description

Are you an empathetic, curious, and hands-on HR professional ready to grow your career in a global tech environment? We’re looking for an HR Associate who brings fresh energy, strong attention to detail, and a genuine passion for supporting people across the employee journey, through innovative approach, technology and cross collaboration.

In this role, you’ll support key areas such as performance evaluation processes, compliance initiatives, employee documentation, and day-to-day HR operations. You’ll work closely with teams and leaders to help create a smooth, thoughtful, and consistent courier employee experience.

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, service-minded, and comfortable taking ownership of both strategic support and everyday operational tasks. You understand that no task is too small when it contributes to a better workplace, stronger processes, and a fair employee experience.

If you’re motivated by helping others, improving how things work, and bringing care and precision to everything you do, we’d love to hear from you!

What you’ll be doing

  • Act as a trusted point of contact for Wolt couriers across Germany, supporting them with general HR topics, performance-related questions, and day-to-day employee inquiries.
  • Managing the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, contractual changes and documentation, and leave management.
  • Ensuring compliance by managing and auditing all personnel-related documents.
  • Maintaining high quality data integrity within our HR systems by identifying errors and following up on missing information.
  • Collaborating closely with Payroll to ensure timely and accurate salary payments.
  • Continuously contributing to the improvement of HR processes and the overall employee service experience.
  • Independently leveraging AI tools to drive process improvements, automation, and smarter ways of working.
  • And most importantly: Bring empathy, curiosity, ownership, and a hands-on mindset to the role with the understanding that every task matters when it supports our people.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience: A completed commercial vocational training (kaufmännische Ausbildung), ideally complemented by further HR certification or proven work-experience in the field. Basic understanding of data protection (GDPR) and labor law.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English (written and spoken) and German at a minimum B2 level (C1 preferred).
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: A service-oriented approach with a genuine care and passion for creating great employee experiences.
  • Tech and AI Savvy: General Proficiency in digital tools and HR systems; experience with AI tools and an interest in automation and process improvement are a big plus, but not a must.
  • HR System Knowledge: Initial experience working with HRIS or Workday platforms and maintaining accurate employee records is desirable.
  • Process-Oriented: A structured, detail-oriented work style with a passion for refining HR workflows.
  • Problem Solver: A proactive, hands-on attitude with the ability to tackle challenges both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong Team Player: Comfortable with cross-functional collaboration and supporting multiple stakeholders.
  • Digitally proficient: Proficiency in tools such as Zoom, DocuSign, Google Workspace, Monday.com, or similar platforms is an advantage.
  • Growth Mindset: Curious, eager to learn, and motivated to continuously develop your HR and operational expertise.
