About Wolt

At Wolt, we create technology that brings joy, simplicity and earnings to the neighborhoods of the world. In 2014 we started with delivery of restaurant food. Now we’re building the delivery of (almost) everything and you’ll find us in over 500 cities in 30 countries around the world. In 2022 we joined forces with DoorDash and together we keep on dreaming big and expanding across the globe.

Working at Wolt isn’t always easy, but it’s definitely exciting. Here you’ll learn more, build more, and ship more than in most other companies. You’ll be challenged a lot, but also have a lot of fun on the way. So, if you’re a self-starter with drive and entrepreneurial spirit, this could be the ride of your life.

Wolt Market is Wolt’s own chain of dark stores, designed to deliver exceptional convenience and a world-class customer experience through fast and reliable grocery delivery.

  • Define and drive the commercial strategy for the market, including assortment, pricing, promotions, and supplier partnerships.
  • Lead and develop local Category, Content and Commercial Finance Operations teams, ensuring strong ownership, capability building, and performance discipline.
  • Ensure healthy order economics by balancing growth initiatives with operational and financial efficiency.
  • Drive structured performance management by defining KPIs, reviewing results, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented when needed.
  • Partner closely with Regional Operations and Supply Chain counterparts to ensure operational capacity, availability, and service levels support commercial plans.
  • Translate regional and global initiatives into clear local action plans, ensuring timely and high quality execution.
  • Identify growth opportunities within the market and develop business plans to capture them.
  • Ensure strong cross functional collaboration in the market and act as the integrator across commercial, operations, and supply chain.
  • Represent the market in regional planning forums and contribute insights to regional and global strategy discussions.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
  • Strengthen reporting frameworks and performance transparency to enable data driven decision making.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Strong experience in general management, commercial leadership, or market leadership roles with proven PnL ownership.
  • Extensive experience in retail, grocery, e-commerce, or other multi site operating environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation experience with suppliers and external partners.
  • Proven leadership experience, including building and developing high performing teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable decisions.
  • Experience operating in a matrix organization and collaborating across multiple functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to think strategically while maintaining strong operational focus and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent skills in G Suite or MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Full professional proficiency in English.
