About This Future Opportunity

As we continue expanding our public sector footprint, we’re interested in connecting with experienced Government Sales professionals across multiple levels — from high-performing Account Executives to senior leaders who can build and scale a government sales organization.

This posting is intended to build relationships with candidates for potential future openings and does not represent an active role at this time.

What These Roles May Involve

Depending on level and scope, future Government Sales roles at Wonderschool may include:

Individual Contributor (Account Executive / Senior AE)

  • Owning full-cycle government sales within a territory

  • Navigating complex, multi-stakeholder, 12+ month sales cycles

  • Building relationships with legislators, agency leaders, and executive administration stakeholders

  • Developing territory strategies aligned to legislative, budget, and election cycles

  • Leading RFP responses and procurement processes

  • Traveling frequently (up to ~60%) to build in-person relationships

Sales Leadership (Director / Head of Government Sales)

  • Defining and executing the overall government sales strategy

  • Building and leading a high-performing public sector sales team

  • Managing pipeline forecasting, territory design, and performance metrics

  • Developing executive-level relationships with state and national decision-makers

  • Partnering cross-functionally with Product, Policy, Finance, and Implementation teams

  • Driving long-term revenue growth and public-sector expansion

What We’re Generally Looking For

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in complex sales environments

  • Experience in business-to-government (B2G) sales, public sector partnerships, or government policy

  • Deep understanding of procurement processes, RFP cycles, and legislative dynamics

  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to align value propositions with political and programmatic priorities

  • Experience managing complex, enterprise-level sales cycles

  • For leadership roles: experience building, coaching, and scaling sales teams

  • High ownership mindset and comfort operating in ambiguity

  • Strong CRM discipline and forecasting capability

Compensation (Future Opportunities – California)

For future Government Sales roles based in California, compensation will vary based on level and scope.

Compensation structures may include:

  • Base salary

  • Performance-based variable compensation (commission and/or bonuses)

  • Potential equity participation

For reference, individual contributor roles have historically included base salaries in the range of approximately $150,000 – $250,000, with significant variable earning potential. Leadership roles may carry broader compensation bands based on scope and organizational responsibility.

Actual compensation will vary based on experience, level, territory complexity, and business needs at the time of hire.

Benefits

Wonderschool offers a competitive benefits package, which may include:

  • Health benefits with up to 100% coverage for employee premiums and up to 80% for dependents

  • Wifi and employee wellness stipends

  • Flexible PTO, paid holidays, and mental wellness days

  • Competitive parental leave (eligible after 6 months of employment)

  • A high-ownership, mission-driven workplace environment

Additional Notes

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.

How do you know if you have a disability?
