As a Senior Claims Consultant, the oversight of claims from beginning to end. You’ll act as advisor and advocate for clients on a range of complex claims matters.

What You’ll Do:

  • Proactively and independently manage the claims programs for assigned clients
  • Review all new claims for designated clients and develop claim handling action plans
  • Communicate claims status to clients and account teams as needed
  • Manage communication between clients, insurers, and legal counsel while advocating for client interests
  • Negotiate with insurers on coverage for defense costs and settlements
  • Serve as a technical resource and coach to new and existing staff
  • Assist brokers with presentations to current and prospective clients
  • Maintain approved diary system to ensure timely follow up of key issues
  • Provide excellent depth and breadth of knowledge and leadership initiative to clients and team members in handling complex and detailed issues in a clear, efficient, and timely manner

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of relevant claims experience, preferably in a brokerage environment
  • College degree and Juris Doctorate preferred.  
  • Advanced knowledge of core management liability and professional liability policies / coverage areas, claim procedures and terminology
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation and organizational skills; ability to multi-task and shift focus as priorities change 
  • Fire & Casualty license required upon hire or within 3 months of obtaining position
  • Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • Ability to travel as required

More About Us:

Compensation: Anticipated salary between $125,000-$177,000. Salary offered will be dependent upon geography, experience, and expertise of the candidate.

This position is eligible to participate in an incentive program to earn additional compensation with a target equivalent to 12% of salary annually, based on individual and Company performance.
