Our aim is to keep doing so for many more years, if not decades. In order to be able to do so, we’ve defined a distinct way of how we’re working at Wooga, so that all relevant aspects intertwine and have a positive impact on the game. No matter if you’re part of a game team or support the success of Wooga as part of a central team, all 250+ employees from around the world can make an impact. We’re proud of the environment we’ve built, and believe you’ll enjoy working with some of the best people in the industry.
Our drivers: Speed, Focus, Ownership, and Impact, guide our working style at Wooga and help us make a deliberate choice to focus on what is important to us, while working towards a shared goal.
These drivers shape how we work together and what we expect from ourselves and our leaders.
We are seeking a highly strategic and well-connected Business Developer Manager to join our Marketing department. In this dual-impact role, you will be the driving force behind securing top-tier deals and ensuring those partnerships seamlessly integrate into our games. You will be responsible for full-cycle business development, from proactively targeting major studios to negotiating complex financial deals. Internally, you will act as the bridge between Marketing, Product, and LiveOps, scoping out integrations and building compelling internal and external pitches to bring these collaborations to life.
Please note that this is a 2-year fixed-term contract.
About the role
- Proactively identify and reach out to major entertainment studios, streaming platforms (e.g., Netflix, NBCU, Paramount), and IP holders to secure the right IP under the best possible terms.
- Negotiate complex financial structures (flat fees, revenue shares, etc.) in tight alignment with our Legal and Finance teams to ensure these high-value deals are commercially justified.
- Generate innovative IP collaboration concepts and define end-to-end LiveOps/feature scopes that balance player engagement, acquisition, and commercial goals.
- Partner with Product, Monetization, Brand, and User Research teams to validate player sentiment and build cohesive integration plans.
- Align with Marketing and Growth to amplify campaign impact, while building visually compelling pitch decks to win over internal stakeholders and external executives.
About you
- Proven track record of successfully closing complex partnership deals within the gaming, tech, or entertainment industries, managing high-stakes conversations with partners.
- Deep understanding of IP licensing models, with experience working alongside legal teams to redline contracts and define financial structures.
- Established industry network: contacts at major studios, streaming platforms, and IP holders.
- Strong understanding of free-to-play gaming ecosystems, including current features, in-game offers, and LiveOps, to accurately scope integrations.
- Strong presentation skills. You can build compelling pitch decks and effortlessly manage high-stakes conversations with both external partners and internal product leaders.
- Understanding of marketing needs to amplify campaign impact.
Please note: Research has shown that some under-represented groups in the gaming industry (eg: women) tend to apply only if they meet every single requirement. Here at Wooga, the desire to learn and the willingness to solve problems are more important to us than your experience on paper. We encourage you to apply even if you do not think that you tick all the boxes - thinking outside of such boxes and embracing the diversity of mindsets and backgrounds is what we believe makes our teams thrive.
Our Promise
- Shape the future! Challenge the status quo and team up with a diverse group of experts (over 50 nationalities!) working on crafting the world’s best games.

- Enjoy the yoga, mindfulness app, sports and transport subsidies. And a Purpose Day to donate your time to a worthy cause!
- Did you know that German is the third most commonly taught language worldwide? Learn it too! We offer German language classes for you and your significant other.
- With our hybrid work model you will work in the office with your teams twice a week, to encourage in-person collaboration and team bonding The other three days you can choose if you want to work from home or from the office. We also offer 10 days a year to work from abroad.
