Here at Wooga, we specialize in mobile game development, and we have an exciting opportunity for an organized and enthusiastic Animator intern to join our team. 

As an aspiring Animator, you will work with other team members to complete tasks and have the opportunity to contribute to several projects. By working with a talented and motivated team of experts, you will have the resources and space to develop your skills and get your first practical experience in Animation and Cinematics.

Please note that this is a full-time (40h/week), 6-month long, paid internship for graduated students.

About the role

• Assist in creating animations using software tools such as Blender or Unity with the guidance of Senior Animators.
• Contribute to the creation of game Cinematics such as cutscenes and dialogues. 
• Learn to read a brief to grasp the production team’s needs and specifications.
• Seek feedback from Senior Animators and mentors and actively incorporate their guidance. 
• Work with the team according to style direction with appropriate form and detail
• Work closely with a dedicated team of artists, writers, game designers and developers on creating experiences that players will love.

About you

• You have a basic understanding of animation principles and a strong desire to learn and develop animation skills.
• You recently graduated from a relevant field of study and/or you are looking to kick-start your career in Animation
• You have a narrative mind and storytelling skills.
• You have basic knowledge of Blender, including animation tools.
• You communicate proactively and collaborate with other disciplines to create effective and engaging experiences.
• You are a team player, open to feedback to improve your skills, and to contribute to improvements.

Pluses

• Basic drawing skills and a keen interest in storytelling and visual aesthetics.
• You have wider knowledge of Blender, including rigging, shading and rendering.
• You have experience in editing and compositing in After Effects.
• You have worked on a Unity project and demonstrate a good understanding of Animation tools.

As English is our office language, no German language skills are required. But we’ll help you learn if you want to!
