Position Overview
Bermello Ajamil, a Woolpert Company (BA) is hiring a Document Control Specialist to join our dynamic Project Management Team at our Coral Gables, Florida office. This position reports to the Project Manager and is responsible for systematic management of all project-related documentation. Qualified candidates will be detail-oriented and highly organized. Priority will be given to candidates who have experience with electronic document management systems (EDMS) and document control protocols.
We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.
What You Will Do:
The Document Control Specialist will be responsible for the systematic management of all project-related documentation. Responsibilities include:
- Receiving, logging, distributing, and archiving project documents including drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence.
- Maintaining version control to ensure team members access the most current documents.
- Managing electronic document management systems (EDMS) such as Newforma and Viewpoint.
- Ensuring adherence to project and industry naming conventions and protocols.
- Preparing formal document submissions to clients and contractors.
- Conducting quality checks to ensure document completeness and compliance.
- Supporting the preservation of paper documents and managing document capture/image systems.
- Collaborating with project teams to ensure timely and accurate documentation.
- Tracking document workflows and maintaining audit trails.
- Providing training and support on document control procedures and systems.
What You Will Bring:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or computer science
- At least 5 years of experience in document or records management
- Background in managing technical documents such as blueprints and scientific drawings
- Experience with document preservation and imaging systems
- Ability to ensure compliance with document standards and protocols
- Strong communication and collaboration skills

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Pay Range
$78,400 - $108,900 USD
