Position Overview:
Woolpert is hiring a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to lead and manage all aspects of our human resources function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the people agenda, aligning HR strategies with business goals, and fostering a positive, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong operational capabilities and a deep understanding of South African labor laws and HR best practices.
We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.
What you will do:
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve HR processes and support business growth.
- Participate in strategic planning and change management initiatives.
- Analyse HR metrics and prepare reports on turnover, recruitment, engagement, and training.
- Promote employee wellbeing through training, resources, and support programs.
- Manage the current team across admin and TA.
- Oversee the TA and onboarding process.
- Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related matters.
- Resolve conflicts and grievances professionally, ensuring fair treatment and adherence to company policies.
- Champion employee engagement initiatives and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs.
- Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development programs.
- Ensure compliance with South African labor laws, including BCEA, LRA, EEA, and POPIA.
- Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures.
- Review and manage compensation structures, benefits, and rewards programs.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Human Resources field and a minimum of 5 years managing an HR team.
- Experience with Dayforce HRIS is desirable.
- Experience in an M&A environment is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices in South Africa.
- Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, and policy development.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Capable of managing multiple demands and priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage to deadline.
- Strong interpersonal and team building skills.
