Position Overview

This position is primarily responsible for the entire Sector Specific Project Finance Team/Staff (PFA, PA-TL and PA), they are assigned, to ensure accurate revenue recognition, administration and operational financial support and contract administration support on projects within the company.

We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.  Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.

What You Will Do:

People Management (Primary Focus): Responsible for supervising, managing and motivating team members daily to function in a goal-oriented manner. Through supportive leadership, create an inspiring and trusting team environment promoting the growth of team members with an open communication culture. Utilize their expertise, their peers, influence, and/or creativeness to formulate smooth team operations and effective collaboration. Responsible for effective planning and scheduling of workload and performance of team members. Ensures team is right-sized and right-skilled. Interview and hire team members. Listen to team members’ feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts, escalating issues as needed. Provide ongoing training and coaching to team members. Has full people managerial responsibilities (goal setting, training plans, performance development reviews, pay decisions, termination, discipline, staffing, etc.) and partners with Human Resources for strategic people management duties. Recognize high performance and reward accomplishments.

Technical Role

  1. Coordinates team efforts to complete a timely month end project review. Meets monthly to discuss and review active projects to ensure that the correct amount of revenue is recognized.
  2. Assists, in limited capacity, with month-end Project Review week.
  3. Serves as Quality Control and review all projects, quarterly, to identify issues. Coordinates with Project Financial Analysts, Project Managers, Practice Leaders, Market Directors and Sector Leaders to resolve.
  4. Maintains lead point of contact for Finance and Finance Systems Director, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Sector Leaders for monthly reporting.
  5. Maintains publication of monthly reports to Finance and Finance Systems Director, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Sector Leaders and Market Directors with assistance from Project Financial Analyst - Team Leaders and Project Financial Analysts.
  6. Stays up to date with Project Financial Analysts processes and responsibilities, attending all meetings with Sectors, Markets and company-wide.
  7. Assists, when and where needed, in annual Business Planning and goal setting, for Practice/Market/Sector.
  8. Assist Sector, Market and/or Practices with proposal rate development and XBE (minority) participation as needed.
  9. Assists with operational finance, profit and loss reporting and support, when needed.
  10. Works with Project Accountant Team Leaders to build/maintain a strong financial support group.
  11. Attends interviews for Project Accountant new hires, when applicable.
  12. Focuses on corporate areas of operational financial support developing staff to become Subject Matter Experts (SME) on items such as best practices, labor, expenses, units, fee, revenue, etc. that strive to improve support, efficiency, and outcome.
  13.  Provides and assists with operational financial support to all geographic offices.
  14.  Focuses on improving operations and maximizing financial return.
  15. Strives to increase EBITDA margins by developing and providing timely, consistent, accurate Key Performance Indicators reporting through use of Power Bi, Reporting, Month-end summaries/packages, perform data analysis and forecasting to support operational investments and decision making.
  16.  Strives to reduce loser projects – ensures risk is properly managed/mitigated and properly accounted for and ensures compliance with Federal/State regulations.
  17. Strives to identify profit dollars on projects and make sure they are being reported on each project separately and accurately.
  18. Strives to sustain and enhance trust-built culture to retain and motivate top performers, attract new talent and acquisitions to support continued growth.
  19. Maintains the highest level of confidentiality as it relates to Operational Financial Information.
  20.  Provides and focuses on strong financial training and mentoring for all levels – from Tech to C-Suite – existing personnel to new hires to acquisitions and keeps all levels on track with best practices.
  21.  Works with Finance and Financial Systems Director to assist with the Acquisition Integration procedures and processes.
  22.  Assists the Finance and Financial Systems Director yearly with Vision Strategy Pillars.

Additional Functions:

  1. Assists in company-wide marketing initiatives including building hourly rates and XBE (minority) participation information, etc.
  2. Performs other duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring:

  1. Must have a BA/BS and eight (8) years related experience, MA/MS and six (6) years related experience, or ten (10) years related experience.
  2.  Must be mentally and physically capable of performing all essential duties required of the position.
  3. Must possess above average Microsoft Office suite skills.
  4. Must be proficient with Adobe products, database management software and the Internet.
  5. Must maintain positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally.
  6. Must work equally well with all levels of management, clients, and employees.
  7. Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
  8. Must be able to anticipate, understand and respond to the needs of internal and external clients.
  9. Must be able to work collaboratively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions to enhance organization effectiveness.
  10.  Must demonstrate the ability to undertake self-directed tasks when necessary.
  11.  Must possess strong conflict resolution skills.
  12.  Must demonstrate excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
  13.  Must demonstrate above average analytical skills.
  14. Must have above average MIS, accounting, and financial skills.
  15.  Must be able to develop a work schedule, set goals, create/implement action plans and monitor progress towards goals.
  16.  Must demonstrate the ability to make clear, timely decisions.
  17.  Must be able to work overtime as needed.
  18.  Must be able to travel occasionally. 

Resulting Physical Qualifications

  1. Must be able to operate and manipulate standard office equipment.
  2. Must be able to manipulate large volumes of files, open binders, and drawers.
  3. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  4. Must be able to occasionally reach and bend.
  5. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Pay Range

$80,000 - $95,000 USD
