The opportunity with us as a Document Controller
We are seeking three Document Controllers to support our architectural team in managing project documentation throughout all phases of design and delivery. You will help ensure drawings, specifications, reports, correspondence and other project records are accurate, current, compliant and readily accessible. This opportunity would suit someone with experience in an architecture, engineering or construction environment who understands industry-standard document management practices, naming conventions and version control.
You will be:
- Maintaining master document registers across architectural projects.
- Ensuring accurate control of drawings, specifications, reports, correspondence, RFIs and other project records.
- Implementing document control procedures, including naming conventions, revision control and filing standards.
- Uploading, distributing and tracking documentation through digital document management platforms.
- Reviewing documents for completeness, accuracy and compliance with internal standards.
- Preparing document transmittals and coordinating timely distribution to project teams, consultants and clients.
- Supporting tender documentation, planning submissions, building approvals and client milestones.
- Maintaining audit-ready records, managing project archives and reporting on document status and outstanding reviews.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience as a Document Controller within an architecture, engineering, or construction environment.
- Strong understanding of architectural drawing sets and design documentation workflows.
- Proficiency in document management systems.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Competency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and PDF mark-up tools.
- Understanding of BIM processes and digital design documentation is preferred.
- Experience working with ISO 9001 or internal QA systems is desired.
