In this role, you will be responsible for driving teams that develop scalable, resilient, and high-performance cloud services critical to our global customers. You will work closely with engineering, product, and project implementation teams to ensure delivery excellence in a fast-paced, international, and outcomes-focused environment.

  • Ensure that your teams design & build solutions that are fault-tolerant and are aligned with business goals.
  • Ensure on-time and high-quality delivery through industry-standard practices, engineering metrics, and delivery governance.
  • Provide guidance on the design and implementation of systems that meet performance, scalability, and availability requirements.
  • Partner with Product Management, Security, Project implementation teams, and other stakeholders to align roadmaps, dependencies, and ensure seamless execution.
  • Ensure all work done by your team meets our high standards with regard to compliance, security and scalability.
  • Embrace possibilities to innovate and encourage your team to do the same.

How about you?

  • You have a solid understanding of system engineering principles: distributed systems, infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, and platform scalability.
  • You possess proven experience (3+ years) leading system engineering- or  platform teams in a complex, cloud-based environment.
  • You exhibit strong communication and stakeholder management skills in an international, scaled-up organisation and are comfortable having direct, goal-oriented conversations.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in service delivery or operational management, preferably in a hosting or fintech environment.
  • You are a people-focused manager, and while operational excellence is your primary goal, you never lose sight of the needs of your team.
  • You have demonstrated success in growing engineering talent and building autonomous, purpose-driven teams.
  • Your experience motivates and inspires your teams’ members, and your presence allows them to operate with confidence in the knowledge their manager is there to provide support when they need it.
  • We prefer a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, but we appreciate hard-won work experience and spirit more. 
  • Excellent communication skills in English and interpersonal skills.
  • You have an in-depth understanding of hosting technologies and cloud services.
