Accounting Manager

Hyderabad

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting operations of our multi-entity group (16+ subsidiaries). This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate and timely financial closes across all entities, managing a team of entity-level accountants, and driving continuous improvement through automation, system optimization, and AI-enabled finance processes. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in GL accounting, audit coordination, and compliance, combined with hands-on experience in
NetSuite, process automation, and workflow optimization.

   

1. Group-Level Accounting Oversight
● Oversee day-to-day accounting for all group entities (16+), each managed by an entity accountant.
● Ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of books across all subsidiaries.
● Review month-end and year-end close deliverables, reconciliations, and schedules.
● Drive standardization of accounting practices, chart of accounts, and reporting templates.
● Manage intercompany transactions, eliminations, and cross-entity reconciliations.

2. Financial Close & Audit Management
● Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across the group.
● Coordinate with the group reporting team for consolidation and audit deliverables.
● Manage subsidiary audits in liaison with local auditors, consultants, and tax advisors.
● Ensure compliance with local statutory regulations, accounting standards (IFRS / Ind AS / local GAAP), and internal policies.
● Support preparation of audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.

3. Process Optimization & Automation
● Evaluate and streamline accounting processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
● Implement automation for repetitive accounting and reporting tasks (journal entries, reconciliations, approvals).
● Continuously identify opportunities for improved data integrity, faster close, and better audit readiness.

4. Stakeholder Management
● Collaborate with FP&A, consolidation, and tax teams for group reporting and compliance.
● Serve as the point of contact for external auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.

   

Required Qualifications & Experience
● CA / ACCA / CPA / CMA or equivalent finance qualification.
● 8+ years of relevant experience in Big 4 and SaaS companies
● Proven expertise in GL accounting, entity-level finance operations, and close management.
● Hands-on experience with NetSuite (mandatory).
● Demonstrated exposure to AI tools, automation platforms, or finance digital transformation projects.
● Strong understanding of IFRS / Ind AS, local compliance, and group audit coordination.
● Experience leading and mentoring a team of accountants across entities.

Preferred Skills
● Experience in multi-entity, multi-currency environments.
● Exposure to automation / AI integration in accounting workflows.
● Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and data handling (SQL / Excel advanced).
● Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
