Engineering Manager
This is an opportunity to take a key leadership position, steering a high-caliber cross-functional engineering team within our R&D organisation. You will be responsible for defining the strategy, promoting the best practices, and ensuring high-quality, impactful delivery that directly serves our global clients.
We are seeking a proactive leader who will attend our Kraków office twice per week to foster essential collaboration and team cohesion.
The Mission: Drive High-Performance Delivery
As an Engineering Manager, you lead the charge in defining the 'how.' Your primary goal is to ensure a balanced, high-performing team that consistently raises the bar and delivers software that exceeds the high expectations of our partners, ensuring robust security, performance, and reliability.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a best-in-class cross-functional software engineering team.
- Define the team's operating cadence, talent acquisition, and professional development strategies.
- Oversee the product roadmap, ensuring consistent, predictable, and timely delivery.
Role Responsibilities
Team & People Management
You cultivate an environment where continuous personal and technical improvement is the standard. You build trust through transparency, ensuring that when something isn't working, you speak up directly and honestly to guide self-evaluation and diagnosis. You focus on removing roadblocks and anti-patterns that impact performance, enabling everyone to grow from clear, actionable feedback.
Delivery & Engineering Management
You own the delivery commitment. You are empowered to make decisions quickly and keep projects moving forward without getting bogged down in endless deliberation, setting ambitious but realistic deadlines and seeing them through. You establish processes that constantly look beyond today's standards, continually elevating the quality of craftsmanship, predictability, and output to maintain our competitive edge.
Strategy & Collaboration
Before any sprint begins, you challenge assumptions and drill down to the fundamental problem we are truly solving, ensuring clarity before coding begins. You are an instrumental facilitator, breaking down silos and connecting team efforts across domains and departments to achieve shared outcomes. You take complex technical challenges and abstract them into clear, digestible, and understandable steps, making the final product intuitive and efficient for the end-user.
Required Qualifications
We are seeking a high-energy team player, always constructive and passionate about software development and delivery.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years leading multi-disciplinary Agile development team. Experience within a product company, banking, payments, or SaaS is a plus.
