Responsibilities
Workato is looking for a Compliance Accountant to support global accounting activities. You will report to the Director of Accounting located in Singapore. Main responsibility will be to manage the timely completion of global compliance particularly in APJ and EMEA, in relation to annual statutory reporting, corporate tax, financial audit and payroll.
In this role, you will also be responsible to:
- Own the “Revenue” recognition process for international subsidiaries

Responsible for full sets of accounts for multiple APJ and EMEA entities

Preparation and ensuring accuracy of journal entries (payroll, bank, accruals)

Monthly reconciliation of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss accounts in FloQast

Ensuring accurate categorization of transactions in the General Ledger (account code, department, location, subsidiary, amortization schedule)

Monthly bank reconciliation

Assist in driving and execution of Month End, Quarter and Annual Close process

Continuously looks for improvements in the management of global compliance and reporting.

Monitor and ensure daily processing of bank transactions in Oracle NetSuite for the assigned entities

Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations and assist in closing all audit queries for APJ and EMEA entities

Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes in relation to IPO readiness
Requirements
Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills
-
5+ years work experience as General/Senior Accountant or equivalent capacity
-
Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures. Familiarity with IFRS and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and local GAAP (JGAAP, IGAAP)

Experience in handling global entities, experience with US, EMEA and APJ regions is a plus

Hands-on experience with accounting software, Oracle Netsuite is a plus
-
Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables

Experience with general ledger functions

BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
-
Experience working with Big 4 and FS preparation will be an advantage
