Responsibilities

Workato is seeking a passionate and creative team member to join our growing Corporate Marketing Team as a Social Media Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for creating meaningful social media content that spotlights our outstanding customers and fosters a vibrant online community for the enterprise orchestration industry. This role will elevate our online social media presence, especially catering to our key audience of global CIOs, business technology leaders, and enterprise architects.

This person will create engaging social media campaigns from start to finish, own the growth of all corporate social media channels, and celebrate our customers through creative content. This role will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with the marketing organization and beyond, partnering directly with Workato executives and global team members across PR, thought leadership, customer marketing, events, product, and sales. 

In this role, you will also be responsible to:

  • Develop a forward-looking social media strategy. You will work directly with the Marketing Communications Manager to develop a strong social media strategy focused on growth and awareness. Daily responsibilities will include proactive monitoring and engagement, copywriting, scheduling, developing creative briefs with the brand team, planning social campaigns, and analytics reporting. All social media content should be catered to our audience of CIOs and business technologists and should reflect what is most relevant and interesting to our #1 priority at Workato: our customers.

  • Collaborate with global teams to create top-tier campaigns. This role will coordinate with multiple department stakeholders and brand team members during the content curation process, creating effective social media posts that contribute toward company goals. This includes ideating and leading social media campaign launches, curating content for employee advocacy programs, and trendjacking.

  • Execute and report on well-structured social media campaigns. This role will be responsible for campaigns that drive meaningful results. They are responsible for reporting on impressions, followers, engagements, and other meaningful metrics quarterly.

  • Gather and share excitement-inducing content from in-person events. The Marketing Communications Associate will attend key events to generate social media content. Inclusive of capturing real-time coverage of the event across social media, creating excitement online, assisting in live-streamed keynote sessions, and sharing breaking news and product announcements on social media.

  • Stay up-to-date and plugged into all social media industry algorithm changes. This person will be passionate about the industry and have a pulse on emerging platforms and trending content. Share meaningful learnings across the team.

Requirements

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills

  • 2-4 years of experience in social media marketing 

  • Deep understanding of social platforms, specifically LinkedIn, including the intricacies of the LinkedIn algorithm and best practices 

  • Experience in developing and executing a social media program for a B2B/software business

  • Proven copywriting skills, experience writing for a B2B audience a plus

  • Demonstrated record of successfully shipping high-quality projects with independence and confidence

  • Examples of published work, social media preferred

Nice to Have

  • Proactive self-starter who can work independently to meet multiple deadlines

  • Strong collaborator and communicator

  • Ability to communicate internally about the importance of social media and work directly with executives on generating social content 

  • Published writing (college newspaper, blog, etc.)

  • Passionate about the tech ecosystem and how automation and enterprise orchestration can help our customers make a greater impact on the world

  • Journalism, marketing, communications, or similar degree

  • Experience with Sprout Social and Canva a plus

  • Independent thinker who loves developing relationships, building community, and driving results

  • Strong written and verbal skills

  • Fast learner and desire to understand Workato’s core buyers

For New York City applicants, the pay for this role may range between $60,000 - $75,000 plus variable, benefits, perks and equity.
