Responsibilities

We seek a dynamic and experienced Director of Product Marketing to lead the strategic product marketing initiatives for our AI Applications. This role is for someone who enjoys working at different altitudes. They are comfortable getting into the details and understanding the unique and differentiating aspects of Workato’s AI Applications and synthesizing them into a cohesive narrative, enabling sales, CS, and partner teams and driving successful go-to-market strategies. The successful candidate should be great at multi-tasking and working cross-functionally with product management, corporate marketing, demand generation, sales, and customer success teams.

In this role, you will also be responsible to:

  • Positioning and Messaging: Develop and refine target personas and compelling, provocative positioning and messaging that effectively communicates the unique value proposition of AI Applications. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to distill product features into customer-centric benefits and build customer-facing collaterals and internal sales and marketing materials.

  • Competitive Positioning and Analysis: Conduct a thorough competitive analysis to identify market trends, competitor strengths and weaknesses, and opportunities for differentiation. Develop strategies to highlight advantages over competitors and create actionable insights for the sales and marketing teams.

  • Product Enablement: Partner with Sales, Pre-sales, Post-sales, and Partner teams to provide product enablement, training, and demos. Ensure these teams deeply understand the product's capabilities and benefits, enabling them to effectively engage with customers and drive successful engagements.

  • Product GTM Strategy: Develop and own the go-to-market strategy for the product line. Drive the creation of collateral, website updates, blog posts, launch videos, and other assets that support product launches and ongoing marketing efforts. Work closely with demand gen, sales, and partner teams to execute the overall strategy.

  • Industry Expertise: Stay abreast of industry trends, including SaaS, cloud-native architecture, low-code/no-code movements, and automation platforms. Leverage your expertise to drive thought leadership and educate internal and external stakeholders on relevant market shifts.

Requirements

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. MBA is a plus.

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in product marketing and cross-functionally across sales, marketing, and product teams

  • Deep understanding of AI, Agents, SaaS, and the low-code/no-code market.

  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing go-to-market strategies, including product launches and field enablement.

  • Prior experience in working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

  • Prior experience in enablement and training for sales and partner teams.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

For California applicants, the pay for this role begins at $191,000 plus variable, benefits, perks and equity.
