Responsibilities

We are looking for a Business Technology Intern with technical support capabilities to join our team. In this role, you will primarily focus on working with Workato automations to improve operation processes, while also providing some technical support as needed. You'll collaborate with the team to understand existing workflows and help enhance operational efficiency.

In this role, you will also be responsible to:

  • Automation Work (80%)

    • Learn and work with Workato automation platform

    • Assist with building and modifying automation workflows

    • Document automation processes and procedures

    • Test automations to ensure they're functioning correctly

    • Help identify opportunities for process improvements

    • Work with team members to understand business requirements

    • Apply Workato best practices to automation development

  • Technical Support (20%)

    • Assist with basic technical support tasks during peak periods

    • Help document common processes in the knowledge base

    • Test new technology implementations from an end-user perspective

    • Provide general technical assistance to the team as needed

Requirements

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills

  • Currently enrolled in a university program in Business, Information Technology, or a related field

  • Interest in business process automation (no prior Workato experience required)

  • Basic understanding of how different software systems interact

  • Willingness to learn new technical concepts

  • Familiarity with common business applications (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom etc.)

  • Basic troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to follow technical documentation

Soft Skills / Personal Characteristics

  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills

  • Basic problem-solving abilities

  • Good written and verbal communication

  • Eager to learn new technologies and processes

  • Ability to follow instructions and ask questions when needed

  • Collaborative team player

  • Interest in improving business efficiency through technology
