Responsibilities

As Senior PM, you will own the connectivity ecosystem that powers Workato: pre-built connectors, the Connector SDK, On-Prem Agent (OPA), and advanced connectivity frameworks across SaaS, databases, ERPs, data lakes/warehouses, messaging systems, APIs, and AI endpoints.

You will apply design thinking principles to ensure these technical capabilities are not only powerful but also delightful and intuitive for our builders. This includes simplifying complex integration tasks, making connector experiences frictionless, and driving adoption through thoughtful UX across our platform.

In this role, you will also be responsible to:

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap

    • Define and drive the connectors/connectivity roadmap aligned with Workato’s vision of becoming the most comprehensive agenti- orchestration platform.

    • Prioritize investments across breadth (new connectors), depth (advanced capabilities), and platform extensibility (SDK, OPA, MCP integration).

    • Anticipate emerging integration patterns (GraphQL, streaming, event-driven, AI/LLM endpoints, Iceberg/Delta formats) and define Workato’s roadmap to support them.

  • Customer-Centered Design

    • Apply design thinking to simplify complex workflows, reduce cognitive load, and make building with connectors an intuitive and delightful experience.

    • Partner with UX/UI designers to create consistent, human-centered patterns for connector discovery, setup, error handling, and monitoring.

    • Champion usability testing and customer feedback loops to continuously refine experiences.

  • Execution & Delivery

    • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, enterprise-grade connectors that meet performance, scalability, and compliance needs while staying simple to use.

    • Drive enhancements to the Connector SDK, OPA, and MCP Server integration for secure, hybrid connectivity.

    • Define and measure KPIs for connector usability, adoption, time-to-value, and reliability.

  • Customer & Ecosystem Focus

    • Partner with customers, partners, and internal teams to deeply understand connectivity gaps, enterprise needs, and usability pain points.

    • Drive developer and partner adoption of the Connector SDK and Marketplace (Xchange) to expand coverage.

    • Collaborate with strategic ecosystem partners (Salesforce, SAP, Snowflake, ServiceNow, Databricks, OpenAI/Anthropic, etc.) to co-develop high-value, intuitive connectors.

  • Governance, Security, and Scale

    • Ensure connectivity capabilities meet enterprise standards: security, observability, performance, and governance.

    • Partner with platform teams to deliver monitoring, throttling, and error-handling at scale for billions of records/day.

Requirements

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills

  • Experience: 6+ years in Product Management with at least 3 years in integration/connectivity/data platform domains.

  • Design Thinking: Proven experience applying design thinking methodologies to build products that combine technical depth with delightful, intuitive user experiences.

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Strong understanding of SaaS APIs, databases, ERPs, message queues, and modern data platforms.

    • Familiarity with ETL/ELT, streaming/event-driven integration, and API management.

    • Experience with SDKs/adapters, OPA/hybrid connectivity, and emerging data formats (Iceberg, Parquet).

Soft Skills / Personal Characteristics

  • Customer Empathy: Skilled at translating enterprise requirements and customer pain points into intuitive product experiences.

  • Execution & Influence: Strong at driving cross-functional projects, influencing engineering and design, and delivering products users love at enterprise scale.

Classification of protected categories is as follows:

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
