Job Description

So, what will your new role look like?

We're looking for a Senior Paid Acquisition Manager to help scale ShareGate's demand engine through high-performing paid programs and continuous experimentation. This includes growing ShareGate Migrate's mature paid program and building ShareGate Protect's paid demand gen program from the ground up.

This is an opportunity for a performance-driven marketer to take ownership of paid acquisition (Google Ads, Bing, LinkedIn, Meta, Reddit) and lead structured testing across the funnel. You'll manage a significant ad budget (~1M per month) alongside a paid media agency you'll lead day-to-day, and work closely with our Senior Manager of Demand Generation to grow ShareGate's reach, optimize campaign efficiency, and uncover new growth opportunities through experimentation.

If you love digging into data, testing creative ideas, and finding scalable ways to drive impact, this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, launch, and optimize paid search and paid social campaigns that drive high-quality trials and demos;
  • Manage and scale campaigns across Google Ads, Bing, LinkedIn, Meta, and Reddit, with a $500K+/month budget and a paid media agency partnership you'll own end-to-end;
  • Build ShareGate Protect's paid demand gen program from scratch, while growing ShareGate Migrate handraiser volume.
  • Monitor spend, pacing, and performance to ensure efficient CAC payback;
  • Set up and validate conversion tracking end-to-end using Google Tag Manager to ensure we're optimizing for the right signals;
  • Identify and prioritize experimentation opportunities across channels, formats, and audiences;
  • Design and measure experiments to improve acquisition, conversion, and efficiency, including landing page tests using Webflow;
  • Partner with content, design, and web teams to develop creative, high-performing assets;
  • Analyze funnel performance and share insights to inform strategy and investments, using HubSpot and HockeyStack;
  • Build AI-powered workflows using tools like Claude, Markifact, and N8N to automate repetitive optimizations: search term negation, ad copy iteration, creative performance analysis, and budget reallocation;
  • Stay ahead of trends in paid media, analytics, and AI-driven optimization.

A typical week?

You'll launch and monitor paid campaigns, analyze search and social performance, and identify optimization opportunities. You'll brief and manage the agency on optimizations, holding them to performance standards. You'll design and prioritize experiments, run creative tests, and share learnings with the broader marketing team. You'll collaborate with content and design on new creative assets, support quarterly planning with data-backed recommendations, and explore emerging platforms that could fuel the next wave of growth.

What does your future team look like?

You'll be part of ShareGate's Demand Generation team within Workleap, a fast-moving group driving pipeline through paid media, web optimization, and data-driven experimentation.
You'll work closely with:

  • The Senior Manager, Demand Generation, your direct manager and strategic partner in scaling performance;
  • A GTM engineer supporting automation and tracking infrastructure;
  • The Content, Lifecycle, Partner Marketing, Design, Sales Enablement, and Product Marketing teams to launch high-impact campaigns.

Over the next 2–3 years, there's a path to expanding your scope into organic growth, outbound, and partner channels, and to building and leading your own team within Demand Gen.

What are the next challenges awaiting your team?

  • Building ShareGate Protect's paid program from the ground up, a rare opportunity to define the strategy, prove the channels, and scale something new;
  • Scaling paid search globally while improving efficiency;
  • Building a repeatable experimentation framework across paid channels;
  • Testing new paid social platforms and creative approaches;
  • Pushing the frontier of AI in paid media, automating meaningful workflows rather than just experimenting at the surface level;
  • Increasing conversion performance and pipeline contribution from paid media.

Qualifications

  • 6–8 years in performance or growth marketing with hands-on management of paid channels, including direct ownership of $500K+/month in ad spend. B2B and SaaS experience is a plus, especially at companies with $20M+ ARR;
  • Proven hands-on management of paid search and paid social at $500K+/month in ad spend. You've been in the weeds, not just overseeing;
  • Proven track record with Google Ads, LinkedIn, or similar platforms;
  • Strong analytical mindset and data-driven decision-making;
  • Experience designing and running A/B or multivariate experiments;
  • Demonstrated ability to set up and verify conversion tracking end-to-end using Google Tag Manager;
  • Familiarity with tools like GA4, HubSpot, and HockeyStack, including experience running landing page tests using Webflow;
  • Real AI workflows built using tools like Claude, Markifact, or N8N. You can articulate exactly what you built, how, and what it unlocked. Familiarity alone doesn't qualify;
  • Excellent collaboration skills in cross-functional environments;
  • Curious, results-oriented, and eager to explore new growth levers.

Salary range: $105K–130K CAD.
This range reflects our Canada-wide compensation scale. Final offers may be adjusted based on the candidate’s region to align with local market conditions.
