Job Description

So, what will your new role look like?

This is a brand-new role at ShareGate, where you’ll build and own our Microsoft alliance from the ground up. As our Strategic Alliance Manager, you’ll turn our relationship with Microsoft into a tangible growth engine—driving pipeline, accelerating deals, and strengthening our position within the Microsoft ecosystem.

You won’t just manage a partnership—you’ll define how we show up with Microsoft. Working closely with our sales, marketing, product, and channel teams, you’ll translate strategic alignment into real business impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the Microsoft partnership end-to-end — from co-sell readiness to executive alignment — to establish Microsoft as a measurable growth lever for ShareGate in FY27;
  • Drive co-sell motions with Microsoft field teams to generate qualified pipeline and accelerate active deals toward closed revenue;
  • Activate and optimize Microsoft programs (MACC, Marketplace, MDF, ISV Success) to grow Marketplace transactions and maximize commercial impact;
  • Build and execute joint go-to-market initiatives with marketing — campaigns, field events, and co-branded plays — to drive Microsoft-influenced pipeline;
  • Expand ShareGate's presence across Microsoft's partner ecosystem (CSPs, MSPs, SIs) to grow attach rates and increase Migrate → Protect bundle adoption;
  • Act as the internal authority on Microsoft's priorities and AI-driven partner motion, translating ecosystem shifts into actionable strategies that keep ShareGate ahead;
  • Track and report on partnership performance — co-sell pipeline, revenue influence, and Marketplace metrics — to give leadership a clear view of impact and inform investment decisions.

A typical week?

  • Meet with Microsoft field sellers and partner managers to align on active opportunities and identify new co-sell plays;
  • Advance live deals by positioning ShareGate within Microsoft-led conversations;
  • Sync with internal sales, marketing, and channel teams to coordinate joint initiatives and priorities;
  • Activate or optimize Microsoft programs (Marketplace offers, MACC alignment, MDF usage);
  • Plan and execute co-marketing activities or upcoming field events with Microsoft;
  • Track co-sell pipeline, marketplace performance, and partnership KPIs;
  • Stay on top of Microsoft ecosystem updates and translate them into actionable opportunities;

What does your future team look like?

You’ll be part of the ShareGate team within Workleap, collaborating closely with go-to-market, product, and channel leaders. This is a highly cross-functional environment where your role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, influencing multiple teams and leadership stakeholders.

What are the next challenges awaiting your team?

You’ll be building ShareGate’s Microsoft alliance function from scratch—defining the strategy, building the playbook, and scaling impact across the business. The challenge lies in turning opportunity into measurable results: activating co-sell motions, embedding ShareGate in the ecosystem, and making Microsoft one of our strongest growth levers.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience within Microsoft’s partner ecosystem;
  • Strong knowledge of co-sell models and Microsoft marketplace dynamics;
  • Deep understanding of MACC agreements and partner programs;
  • Established network within Microsoft (field, PDMs, partner teams, executives);
  • Proven ability to build and manage strategic partnerships;
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills;
  • Action-oriented mindset with comfort in ambiguity;

Salary range: $175-225k CAD OTE.
This range reflects our Canada-wide compensation scale. Final offers may be adjusted based on the candidate’s region to align with local market conditions.

What drives us

At Workleap, we build software that sits at the center of how people experience work, every day, at every level.

We move fast. Priorities shift, decisions get made with the information we have, and we iterate. If you thrive on intensity and ambiguity doesn't slow you down, you'll feel right at home.
We're builders. We do what it takes to move forward. AI is part of our toolkit. We use it to go faster and decide smarter, not to replace judgment.

If you want real impact and a place where your decisions matter, this is it.

How we hire

Transparency is how we hire — for you and for us.

Your journey starts with a recruiter conversation, followed by a virtual interview with the hiring manager and one additional interviewer. Next, you'll complete a take-home case study and meet potential teammates to discuss and collaborate on your work. If it's a match on both sides, we move to an offer. Some positions follow a slightly different path — your recruiter will walk you through it on the call if that's the case.

In the spirit of transparency: we use AI to support parts of the process, but every hiring decision remains firmly human.

We're committed to making this an inclusive and thoughtful experience for every candidate. We're looking forward to showing you that.
