Job Overview:
As a BDR (Business Development Representative) Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving our company's growth by overseeing and leading our high-performing team of BDRs. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to generate new business opportunities, nurture leads, and build strong relationships with potential customers. Your leadership skills, industry knowledge, and ability to motivate and mentor a team will be critical to achieving our ambitious sales goals.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and inspire a team of BDRs, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to maximize their potential
- Develop and implement effective strategies to generate qualified leads and drive new business opportunities
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to optimize lead generation and conversion processes
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to evaluate team and individual performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures as needed
- Conduct ongoing training sessions to enhance BDRs' product knowledge, sales skills, and objection handling techniques
- Collaborate with sales leadership to align BDR activities with overall sales objectives and revenue targets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential customers and industry influencers
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify new opportunities and refine sales strategies
- Continuously improve and streamline lead qualification and handoff processes between BDRs and Account Executives
To be successful in this role, we’d like to see:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus)
- At least 2 years of experience in team lead or sales management role
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing and developing high-performing teams
- Experience with outbound sales processes and playbooks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels
- Results-driven mindset with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets
- In-depth understanding of B2B sales processes, lead generation strategies, and pipeline management
- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and insights to drive decision-making
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Hubspot) and sales engagement tools
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
