Job Description:

This role will primarily focus on supporting the HR function in Merida with various administrative tasks, project management, and data cleanup initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining accurate HR records and processes. 

Responsibilities: 

  •  Provide comprehensive administrative support by preparing team member communication, DocuSign and Smartsheet correspondence.  
  • Partner with HR systems manager to conduct regular data audits and cleanup efforts within HR systems to ensure the accuracy and integrity of employee records.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of HR reports, ensuring data is up-to-date and readily available for analysis and decision-making.
  • Participate in HR projects, ensuring timely execution and alignment with departmental goals, while managing related administrative tasks.
  • Help develop and maintain HR compliance policies and best practices.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information and ensure compliance with HR regulations and best practices.
  • Collaborate with HR team members to improve administrative processes and enhance overall HR functions.
  • Assist in the onboarding process by coordinating orientations sessions, preparing orientation materials, to ensure a smooth integration for new hires.
  • Additional HR projects and duties as assigned.
  • The employee must be available during regular business hours of 8 am to 5 pm, Monday – Friday unless otherwise specified.  

 Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.  
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office and HRIS applications. 
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team and demonstrated integrity, independent thinking, judgment, and respect for others are required. Smartsheet and LMS platform experience preferred. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or psychology, or in a relevant field of study preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or 1-3 years of progressive human resources experience. Some international experience preferred.  

 Physical Conditions and Nature of Work 

Employee is subject to inside environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions. Nature of work is primarily sedentary: walking (1 hour daily), standing (1 hour daily), and light lifting (0 – 15lbs); no environmental hazards indicated for this classification.
