Job Description:

The Course Leader Manager joins the fast-paced Course Leader Management Team in support of our mission to provide a world class on tour experience for our students through experiential learning and LEAP. The role of Course Leader Manager is responsible for managing domestic US Course Leaders--dynamic field educators, or tour guides--from recruitment to training, scheduling, and on program support. This role reports to the Director, Course Leaders.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting and interviewing prospective CLs
  • Assist with CL Training development and execution
  • Analyze data, budgets, and requests to determine CL scheduling
  • Reinforce engagement strategies with CLs
  • Collaborate with Curriculum and Academics to review/develop training materials
  • Support all CLs on program
  • Evaluate CLs in the field
  • Maintain CL databases, information systems
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation
  • Maintain knowledge of company policies and procedures so as to serve as an effective resource for staff.
  • Support company policies and management decisions with a sense of urgency and professionalism.
  • Foster communication within the division, with other divisions and with management.
  • Seek out and participate in internal and external programs that facilitate personal and professional growth.
  • Identify and discuss personal and professional growth goals.
  • Write and deliver self-performance appraisal on an annual basis.
  • Develop and maintain a culture of teamwork, positive communication, and fulfilling the WorldStrides mission.

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • Ability to develop and successfully execute short and long range plans
  • Strong relationship building skills

  • Short & long-term project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to make informed and analytical decisions while under pressure

Maryland Salary Range

$46,000 - $50,000 USD

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount WorldStrides is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

New York Salary Range

$46,000 - $50,000 USD
