Our extensive knowledge spans a broad spectrum of blockchain technologies, allowing us to create advanced, impactful protocols. We are committed to providing developers and clients with the most innovative tools necessary to excel in a distributed economy.

If you're ready to tackle some of the most challenging problems in distributed computation and work with some of the top names in crypto, we'd love to have you apply!

As a Solana Protocol Engineer at Wormhole Labs, you will make significant contributions to Wormhole’s ecosystem of programs and protocols on Solana. You will either drive or partner with domain experts on the entire lifecycle of protocol development, including ideation, design, implementation, security review, and deployment.

What you will do

  • Contribute to the design, implementation, testing, and security review of Wormhole’s core Solana programs and to protocols expanding to Solana.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather customer requirements, analyze business needs, and translate them into smart contract code.
  • Follow best practices for secure smart contract development and build future best practices alongside Wormhole security researchers.
  • Stay up to date with the latest in Solana tooling, best practices, and industry trends.

The ideal candidate will

  • Be high agency and effect the outcomes they wish to see.
  • Demonstrate customer obsession and feel pride in delivering user satisfaction.
  • Be highly collaborative with the team, other Wormhole collaborators, and customers.
  • Care deeply about the business outcomes of your work and challenge priorities when the business impact is unclear.
  • Have at least one year of experience writing production Solana programs. Alternatively, you’ve written production Rust for applications with millions of users.
  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, although equivalent practical experience will also be taken into consideration.

We provide

  • Competitive salary and restricted token units, dependent on position type and location.
  • Unlimited time off, healthcare premium reimbursement, and 401K.
  • Macbook or Windows laptop and dedicated workstation as needed.
  • Flexibility of working from wherever you have work authorization, as long as you can work ~10-6PM US Eastern Time. We minimize unnecessary meetings, but building decentralized systems requires synchronous communication.

We will only respond to applicants that meet our requirements. If we don’t respond, please assume a polite decline for now.
