We are looking for a collaborative and highly motivated Accounting Assistant to support the success of our growing team of healthcare administrators. The Accounting Assistant will gain diverse exposure to many of the daily aspects within the finance department, including accounts payable, payroll, budgets, purchasing, account reconciliations, and basic financial reporting.

Compensation Information:  

  • $20.50-$24.50/hour

Accounting Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices in accordance with Woven Care policies and procedures.
  • Completes routine vendor account reconciliations researching and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Supports new vendors through the vendor onboarding process and maintains the vendor listing to include recurring payables and payment methods.
  • Reconciles cash balances against ledger support for each location.
  • Assist with annual Form 1099 filing.
  • Assists with the annual financial statement audit, and prepares requested documents for review.
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
  • Prepares bi-weekly payroll for review.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns.
  • Maintains and documents all payroll records.
  • Maintains records for fixed assets, pre-paid expenses, and other liabilities.
  • Prepares various accounting reconciliations in support of monthly financial close.
  • Contributes to the successful completion of various financial projects and initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • General exposure to accounting concepts through introductory college coursework or 1 year of related work experience
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Experience using QuickBooks Online is a plus
  • Self-starter who approaches every task with excellence and attention to detail.
  • Organized and efficient; always seeking out better ways to approach tasks and assignments.
  • Interest in learning and facilitating new technologies into our systems and procedures.
  • Strong initiative in the execution of responsibilities and special projects and asks for help when needed.
  • Time Management and prioritization skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
