The GroupM IT team in WPP IT are the technology solutions partner for the GroupM group of agencies and are accountable for co-ordinating and assuring end-to-end change delivery, managing the GroupM IT technology life-cycle and innovation pipeline.
As a member of the North America Local Systems Team, this position will play a key role in implementing, supporting, and maintaining a range of local applications. The responsibilities will include developing and designing user-friendly interactive applications, automated workflows, and business intelligence (BI) solutions to support various business initiatives, enabling the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) and goals. Additionally, the role will involve collaborating closely with the business to gather requirements and effectively translate complex technical specifications into clear and concise requirements. Additionally, experience or familiarity with Full Stack Development is highly desirable.
What you'll be doing:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement customized solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents to support various business functions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, document them clearly, and translate them into technical specifications for Power Platform solutions.
- Create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces using Power Apps, enabling intuitive user experiences
- Develop and configure workflows and business process automations using Power Automate, streamlining business processes and enhancing productivity.
- Design and implement interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, enabling data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with the IT team to integrate Power Platform solutions with existing systems and data sources.
- Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of Power Platform applications to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
- Document technical specifications, system configurations, and user guides for Power Platform solutions, ensuring comprehensive and accurate documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in Power Platform technologies, and share knowledge and best practices with the team.
- Provide training and support to end users, empowering them to effectively utilize Power Platform solutions.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable web applications using modern front-end and back-end technologies.
- Implement front-end solutions using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.js and AngularJS.
- Develop RESTful APIs and microservices architecture to facilitate communication between front-end and back-end systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze needs, and develop technical solutions.
- Design and maintain relational databases, ensuring data integrity and optimal performance.
- Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the quality and reliability of software solutions.
- Implement security measures such as authentication and authorization protocols to safeguard sensitive data.
What you'll need:
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Has a minimum of three (3) years of direct experience of Power Platform, and a minimum of five years’ development experience in Power Platform Development, creating and implementing solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Power Platform components, including canvas and model-driven apps, connectors, flows, and gateways.
- Proficiency in Power Query, DAX, other Power BI functionalities for data manipulation and visualization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Knowledge of data modeling, visualization, and reporting techniques using Power BI.
- Familiarity with integrating Power Platform solutions with third-party applications and APIs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex business requirements and propose effective solutions.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions within defined timelines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal) at a C1 level according to the CEFR or Advanced Mid to Advanced High according to the ACTFL
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications (e.g., Power Platform Functional Consultant, Power Platform Developer) are preferred but not required.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of PowerShell and / or Python
- 3+ years of experience in full stack development
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries (e.g., React.js, AngularJS).
- Development experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and relational databases.
- Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks/libraries like Node.js, Express.js, and Vue.js.
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
- Familiarity with Azure services such as Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure SQL Database.
