We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Workday Report Writer to join our team in Chennai, India.

As a Workday Report Writer, you will be responsible for translating business requirements into actionable Workday reports, ensuring data integrity, and providing insights that drive business decisions. The role requires a deep understanding of Workday HCM.

Your primary responsibility will be to address Business-as-Usual (BAU) tickets, including incidents, service requests, and change requests. Additionally, you will collaborate with Change Projects to understand their reporting requirements, coordinate report delivery, and manage handovers from project teams. Your work will directly impact the organization's ability to make informed decisions by providing accurate, timely, and comprehensive reporting.

What you'll be doing:

  • BAU Support and Incident Management:
    • Manage and resolve BAU tickets related to Workday reporting, including incidents, service requests, and change requests.
    • Ensure timely and accurate resolution of reporting issues to minimize business disruption.
    • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all Workday reports by conducting thorough data analysis and validation.
  • Report Design and Development:
    • Develop and maintain a wide range of Workday reports, including Advanced, Matrix, and Composite reports, to meet business needs.
    • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into Workday reports that provide actionable insights.
    • Customize Workday standard reports as needed to suit specific organizational needs.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay updated on the latest Workday reporting features and functionality, continuously improving your skills and the quality of reports delivered.
    • Proactively suggest enhancements to existing reports and reporting processes to better serve the organization.

What you'll need:       

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in information technology and equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Experience:
    • Good experience in Workday report writing or a similar role.
    • Proven experience in creating Advanced, Matrix, and Composite reports in Workday.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Highly proficient in Workday Report Writer and related tools.
    • Awareness of Workday Prism and the ability to build and manage Prism pipelines is desirable.
    • Solid understanding of data modelling and report optimization techniques.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality, accurate reports.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
