Enterprise Risk & Resilience Management (ERRM) Director - Global Coverage (London Based)

We're searching for a Enterprise Risk & Resilience Management Director to drive our global risk management strategy and cultivate a robust resilience culture. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of risk management at a global leader in creative transformation, based in our London HQ office.
About the Role:
This leadership role offers significant global exposure and reports directly to WPP’s General Counsel Corporate Risk and WPP’s Group Director of Crisis Management & Business Resilience, both based in London. In this role you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing our enterprise risk management and resilience framework, collaborating with senior stakeholders across the WPP Group to identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks while fortifying resilience throughout the organization.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Developing and implementing the enterprise risk management and resilience framework, mapping resources, systems and processes with risk appetite and resilience standards, and devising and supporting remediation strategies where needed.
- Partnering with enterprise risk owners and risk committee members to facilitate the identification and assessment of current, new and emerging risks.
- Championing a strong risk and resilience culture across WPP through training, advisory support, and thought leadership.
- Interpreting, communicating, managing and enhancing risk reporting content and platform, leveraging data to inform strategic and operational decisions.
- Auditing existing risk and resilience practices, designing and conducting internal risk assessments and converting results into reports and recommendations.
- Producing risk and resilience reports for the Board, Audit Committee, Risk Committees and others as required.
- Providing expert risk insights, guidance, and support to colleagues across WPP.
What You'll Need:
- Proven leadership experience in enterprise risk management and resilience practice.
- Exceptional collaboration, communication and presentation skills.
- The ability to handle sensitive information, strategic thinking, and have a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Relevant risk management or compliance assurance professional qualification (e.g., IRM, ACCA, CIMA, ICSA) is desirable, coupled with a demonstrable track record of success in a senior risk management role.
- ISO qualified, or related and relevant knowledge of resilience practice and principles.
- Experience in creative and technology sectors.
